Abstract

For the next generation to grow up with a strong sense of community, it is essential that they study social studies. This study investigates how primary school kids' social awareness is shaped by their social studies curriculum. Finding out how primary school social studies curriculum contributes to the development of children' caring personalities is the overarching goal of this study. Data analysis, descriptive statistics, library research, and research carried out in libraries are all components of the qualitative research methodology used in this study. According to the findings, teaching primary school pupils about social studies helps them become more empathetic and aware of the world around them. The findings of this study indicate that the Agar generasi berikutnya dapat tumbuh dengan rasa kebersamaan yang kuat, penting bagi mereka untuk mempelajari ilmu-ilmu sosial. Studi ini menyelidiki bagaimana mengajar anak-anak sekolah dasar tentang isu-isu sosial dapat membentuk kepribadian mereka. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah dan bagaimana kesadaran sosial anak-anak sekolah dasar berkembang sebagai hasil dari kurikulum IPS mereka. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan, sering disebut penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan perpustakaan literal, mencakup berbagai kegiatan, seperti analisis data, analisis deskriptif, dan penelitian yang dilakukan di perpustakaan. Menurut temuan tersebut, mengajar siswa sekolah dasar tentang ilmu sosial membantu mereka menjadi lebih berempati dan sadar terhadap dunia di sekitar mereka. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan karakter anak-anak sekolah dasar mungkin mendapat manfaat besar dari kurikulum IPS yang sensitif secara sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on the interpersonal communication skills of upper-grade elementary school students. The method employed is a Literature Review with a qualitative approach, analyzing 20 scholarly publications published between 2019 and 2025. The analysis results indicate that the TPS model consistently contributes positively to enhancing various aspects of interpersonal communication skills, such as speaking, listening, expressing opinions, as well as fostering cooperation, empathy, and self confidence. The three stages of the TPS model think, pair, and share create a collaborative learning environment that supports social interaction and active idea exchange.
