Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan nutrisi daun Gamal sebagai pakan ternak ruminansia pada ketinggian lokasi yang berbeda. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan data primer dan data skunder. Data primer diperoleh dengan melakukan analisa kandungan nutrisi daun Gamal dari kota Makassar yang memiliki ketinggian lokasi 8 mdpl menggunakan metode analisa Proksimat. Data skunder diperoleh dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan pada lokasi dengan ketinggian 244 mdpl dan 456 mdl. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan bahan kering daun Gamal cenderung meningkat seiring peningkatan lokasi, kandungan bahan organik, relatif sama pada ketiga ketinggian lokasi, kandungan protein kasar cenderung meningkat pada lokasi yang lebih tinggi, kandungan lemak kasar relatif sama pada ketiga ketinggian lokasi, kadar serat kasar relatif sama pada ketiga ketinggian lokasi dan kadar BETN relatif sama pada ketiga ketinggian lokasi, dan kadar abu relatif sama pada pada ketiga ketinggian lokasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kandungan bahan kering dan protein kasar daun Gamal cenderung meningkat pada lokasi yang lebih tinggi, tetapi kandungan bahan organik, lemak kasar, serat kasar BETN, dan abu relatif sama.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using greenhouses as a learning medium on students' skills in the horticulture subject. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were all Grade X Agribusiness Crops students at SMKN 3 Sidenreng Rappang, totaling 11 students. Data were obtained through an observation checklist used before and after the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in students' skills after learning using the greenhouse. The average score before the learning activity was 3.11, which increased to 4.81 after the learning, with a mean difference of 1.70 points. These results indicate that the use of greenhouses as a learning medium is effective in improving students' skills in horticultural cultivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of vermicompost fertilization with the addition of organic waste on the growth and quality of lettuce (Lactuca sativa). The research was conducted using an experimental method with several treatments of vermicompost application combined with different levels of organic waste. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, fresh weight, and leaf quality. The results showed that the use of vermicompost with the addition of organic waste significantly improved the growth and quality of lettuce compared to the control treatment. Lettuce plants treated with enriched vermicompost exhibited better growth, higher biomass, and superior leaf quality. These findings indicate that vermicompost combined with organic waste can be an effective and environmentally friendly fertilization strategy to enhance lettuce production.
