Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Madrasah Self-Evaluation (EDM) and the Electronic-Based Madrasah Work and Budget Plan (e-RKAM) at Madrasah Aliyah Fathurrahman in Batu Sopang, Paser Regency. EDM functions as a tool for assessing institutional performance according to the 8 National Education Standards (SNP), helping identify strengths and areas for improvement. Meanwhile, e-RKAM facilitates more transparent and accountable budget planning, aligning financial resource allocation more closely with institutional needs. Research on EDM and e-RKAM implementation is essential to enhancing educational quality, budget transparency, digital skills, and data-driven planning, as well as providing practical recommendations and insights for madrasah educational policy. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, collecting data through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using data triangulation techniques, comparing findings from interviews, observations, and documents to ensure consistency and accuracy of information. Results indicate that EDM and e-RKAM have improved budget preparation efficiency and financial management at the madrasah. The use of EDM enables more systematic, data-based decision-making, while e-RKAM enhances transparency in budget allocation and expenditure monitoring. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy and infrastructure gaps remain. This highlights the need for ongoing training and resource development to maximize EDM and e-RKAM’s potential. Nonetheless, the integration of these tools positively impacts educational quality and governance within the madrasah.

Abstract

In the face of various challenges stemming from the advancement of science and specialization across disciplines, the continual evolution of knowledge endures, seamlessly transitioning from one era to the next. The progression of knowledge development would be rendered impossible without human involvement or capability. The Qur'an provides guidance and ethical teachings that hold the potential for seamless integration into the decision-making processes, strategic planning, and governance of educational institutions. Delving deeper into the integration of philosophy into the management of Islamic education becomes imperative to gauge the depth of comprehension through the lens of the Qur'an. This research uses qualitative methods, examining Quranic verses related to integrating philosophy into Islamic educational management. By means of a thorough literature review and an exploration of pivotal Qur'anic verses, encompassing Surah Al-Jasiyah verse 20, Surah Al-Qamar verse 17, Al-Baqarah verse 2, Surah Yunus verse 3, Surah Al-Ra’du verse 2, Surah Al-A’raf verse 29, Surah Al-Ahzab verse 24, Surah An-Nisa verse 58, Surah Ar-Rahman verses 7-9, Surah Al-Baqarah verse 286, Surah Al-Hasyr verse 18, Surah Ali Imran verse 103, Surah Al-Kahf verse 2, Surah Hud verse 117, and Surah Ash-Shura verse 6, the research findings lead to the conclusion that the philosophical underpinning in the management of Islamic education, when harmoniously integrated from the perspective of the Qur'an, can give rise to a comprehensive and all-encompassing approach.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explore the implementation of clinical supervision in Islamic schools, with a particular focus on its contribution to improving teaching quality. Additionally, the study seeks to identify the factors influencing the success of clinical supervision within this context.Method – This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through structured interviews with school principals and teachers at MIS Trubus Iman, as well as field observations. Data analysis followed the stages of qualitative analysis, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Findings – The research findings indicate that face-to-face clinical supervision between school principals and teachers significantly enhances teachers' reflection on their teaching practices and provides constructive feedback. The structured supervision process, including preparation, observation, and feedback sessions, enables teachers to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of their teaching methods. However, the study also identifies challenges such as time constraints and limited management support, which hinder the full effectiveness of the supervision process. Research Implications – This study emphasizes the need for continuous professional development through clinical supervision to enhance the quality of teachers' instruction. However, the research is limited to a single school's context, necessitating further studies in other Islamic schools to validate the findings and broaden the understanding of clinical supervision within this context.
