Abstract

This study addresses the low mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Gambut 3, where conventional teaching methods have resulted in passive participation and limited engagement. To overcome this issue, the TeamsGames Tournament (TGT) learning model was implemented with the aim of improving teacher activities, student activities, and mathematics learning outcomes. The research employed a classroom action research (CAR) design with qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted over four meetings consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The participants were 14 fourth-grade students (4 boys and 10 girls). Data were collected through tests and observations, using test items for learning outcomes and observation sheets for teacher and student activities. Data analysis involved distribution, frequency, percentage, and interpretation. Success indicators were defined as individual achievement scores ≥ 60 and classical completeness between 65%–80%, with teacher and student activities reaching at least active/good criteria. The results showed improvements in teacher activities from cycle I (meeting I = 11, meeting II = 12) to cycle II (meeting I = 14, meeting II = 16). Student activities also increased, with classical percentages rising from 50% in cycle I meeting I, 57.2% in meeting II, 64.3% in cycle II meeting I, and 85.7% in meeting II. These findings indicate that the success indicators were achieved. In conclusion, the TGT learning model effectively improved mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Gambut 3 in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi di SDN Malintang 2 adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas empat dalam Pendidikan Pancasila karena proses pembelajaran yang kurang optimal. partisipasi pasif siswa, dan metode pengajaran konvensional. Oleh karena itu, ini Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar. melalui penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning/PBL). Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan menerapkan Aksi Kelas. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari dua pertemuan melalui Tahapan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitiannya adalah... 27 siswa kelas empat. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan Lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, dan dianalisis menggunakan persentase. dan teknik interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada Siklus I, aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 56% pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 62% pada pertemuan kedua, sementara Penguasaan pembelajaran klasik belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan. Pada Siklus II, Aktivitas siswa meningkat lebih lanjut dari 72% pada pertemuan pertama menjadi 85% pada pertemuan kedua. pertemuan, menunjukkan partisipasi yang sangat aktif. Hasil pembelajaran siswa juga meningkat, dengan penguasaan klasik meningkat dari di bawah kriteria keberhasilan pada Siklus I hingga 85% pada Siklus II, melampaui indikator keberhasilan yang telah ditentukan sebesar 80%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Model ini efektif dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan hasil belajar. Pendidikan Pancasila untuk siswa kelas empat di SDN Malintang 2 tahun ajaran 2023/2024 tahun akademik.

Abstract

Low learning outcomes in IPAS at the elementary school level remain a recurring issue, particularly when instructional practices are still teacher-centered and less engaging for students. This study aimed to examine teacher activities, student activities, and the improvement of IPAS learning outcomes through the implementation of the Examples Non Examples learning model in fourth-grade students. The research employed a mixed-methods approach using Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The participants consisted of 26 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation and learning achievement tests. The findings revealed a consistent improvement in teacher performance, student participation, and learning outcomes across cycles. Teacher activity scores increased from 9 in the initial meeting to 14 in the second cycle. Student activity improved from 52% to 81%, while the average learning achievement rose from 63.57 to 92. These results indicate that the Examples Non Examples model effectively enhances active learning and improves IPAS learning outcomes among elementary school students.
