Abstract

In the development of extensive attractions in South Mias, the government has a very important role in organizing, monitoring and formulating and implementing the target and accurate target development policy according to the need to solve problems in the development of tourism. Therefore the development of the tourist object in effective and efficient tourism development, should be implemented well as the purpose of improving and preserving potential of the tourist object. This is aimed at knowing how the implementation of the Moala Beach Tourism Development policy implementation in South Nias Division. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method to illustrate the actual phenomenon of the incident. The data collection uses the interviews, observation and documents related to research. The theory used is the model of implementation of Richardson and Fluker consisting of 6 variables: Size and purpose of policy, resources, implementation body characteristics, communication between the executive bodies, social environment, economic, and political conditions and implementation (dispositions). The results of the study show that the implementation of the Moala Beach's attractions for the development of the Mole Park has yet to be implemented well because it is difficult to build communication with local communities in terms of cooperation to preserve and support the development process and the implementation of the program program. At the implementation of this policy there are still kebalas on less sufficient human resources and coordination with other unforced detail as due to the local sectoral ego that considers that the development task is the task of the associated duty.

Abstract

Abstract

The development of the culinary industry in Indonesia plays an important role in the national economy. The development of the culinary coffee drink industry can also be seen in the many constructions of cafes or coffee shops. The cafe that is often found is a cafe with a luxurious feel so that it is expensive to maintain. For this reason, the concept of Industrial Architecture is a concept that emphasizes functional and efficient aspects by using unfinished materials but still considering design aesthetics, so as to reduce costs incurred. This research was conducted to see the application of industrial architectural characteristics to cafe buildings by conducting literature studies and linking them to case studies. The selected case study is the Kallia Cafe Cafe building, from this case study it will be analyzed by linking the case study data with the characteristics of Industrial Architecture. From this analysis, the results obtained are the application of the characteristics of the industrial architectural concept at Kallia Cafe in terms of exterior and interior.

Abstract

Medan is a city with significant tourism potential, particularly through its preserved colonial and Deli Sultanate heritage buildings. One prominent example is Maimun Palace, which remains intact but has yet to attract an optimal number of visitors. This study aims to enhance Medan’s tourism potential by applying the sense of place theory, examined through circulation patterns, building image, and spatial comfort. A qualitative-descriptive method was employed, supported by interviews with selected respondents. The findings are expected to strengthen the role of tourism in preserving the city's historical architecture.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and compare the novelty of tropical architectural designs generated by artificial intelligence (AI) and human architects. The rapid advancement of generative AI technologies has enabled the creation of unique and complex architectural forms; however, their relevance to tropical climatic contexts remains questionable. Using a mixed-method approach, this research integrates subjective assessments from a panel of tropical architecture experts with objective morphological analyses. The results indicate that AI-generated designs excel in visual novelty but often lack adaptation to critical tropical design principles, such as cross-ventilation, shading devices, and passive cooling strategies. Conversely, human architects produce designs with higher climatic responsiveness and sustainability, though they tend to be more conservative in terms of form innovation. These findings highlight the need for AI systems to incorporate localized climatic parameters to produce contextually relevant and sustainable architectural solutions.
