Abstract

Waqf social institutions continue to promote waqf literacy through their social media accounts to ensure that the public, especially the younger generation, can understand and develop an interest in Waqf. This study aims to determine how much cash waqf literacy and the social media content of waqf institutions influence the interest in giving cash waqf among Generation Z in Indonesia. The research method was quantitative, with primary data from 201 respondents using purposive sampling. The data analysis model in this study employs the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that 73 individuals, or 36.3% of Generation Z, have engaged in cash waqf. The study also shows that cash waqf literacy and social media content each have a partial positive and significant impact on the interest in paying cash waqf among Generation Z. Furthermore, the variable of social media content has a positive and significant impact on the interest in giving cash waqf through cash waqf literacy among Generation Z. This research suggests that waqf institutions should enhance and improve their social media content to increase cash waqf literacy, which could further boost interest in cash waqf.

Abstract

The role of cash waqf linked sukuk (Islamic bonds linked to endowments) should be developed to enhance the green economy, particularly in the sustainable agriculture sector. This study investigates the influence of Islamic religiosity, knowledge, and trust in nazhir (waqf managers) on the intention to engage in cash waqf linked sukuk transactions for sustainable agriculture. This study also analyzes the moderating role of environmental awareness as an important factor in the green economy. Primary data was collected through questionnaires disseminated to 150 respondents and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS SEM) was employed to analyze the data. The findings indicate that environmental awareness and trust nazhir are significant determinants of the intention to engage in cash waqf linked sukuk transactions for sustainable agriculture. Environmental awareness is also found to be significant in moderating the influence of Islamic religiosity. The implications suggest that to enhance community participation in cash waqf linked sukuk for sustainable agriculture, it is imperative to build trust in nazhir, increase environmental awareness, and target individuals who uphold Islamic values.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the trickle-down and multiplier effects of the Al-Jabbar Mosque as a religious tourism site using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis method using NVivo software. Primary data was collected through interviews with 20 tourists, 10 local MSME actors, 5 MSME employees, also the food court manager, and Al-Jabbar Mosque management. The findings reveal that the presence of Al-Jabbar Mosque generates a trickle-down effect by creating business potential and job opportunities for the local community. Local Community can engage in trade within the food court, also benefit from special programs like rental fee discounts. Additionally, there are employment opportunities at the mosque, such as security. The mosque also opens opportunities for MSME employment and open service, such as photography. Currently, 70% of the 550 mosque employees are local residents. Tourist visits directly impact Rp144.648.000.000 monthly to local MSME income, assuming 344,941 visitors per month with an average expenditure of Rp344,833 on food, photography, and other services. Mathematical analysis shows a multiplier effect value of 1.22, indicating that for every Rp100,000 increase in tourist spending, local MSME income rises by Rp122,000. Practically, the research suggests that Al-Jabbar Mosque management should collaborate with the local community to develop new businesses.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines Islamic Ethics Work, Hedonic Values, and Attitudes toward the Intention to Establish Sustainable Entrepreneurship. Design/methodology/approach: The research method used is quantitative with a conclusive research design. The primary data used is obtained through a questionnaire distributed on the internet, with the criteria of Muslim students. A total of 210 respondents were gathered. This study employs the SEM-PLS data analysis model. Findings: The results show that Islamic Ethics Work has a positive direct influence on Attitude, while Hedonic Values do not directly impact Attitude. Furthermore, the Islamic Ethics Work variable does not directly impact the Intention to Establish Sustainable Entrepreneurship. In contrast, Attitude has a positive influence, and Hedonic Values have a negative influence. Islamic Ethics Work positively influences the Intention to Establish Sustainable Entrepreneurship through Attitude. Meanwhile, Hedonic Values have little impact on the Intention to Establish Sustainable Entrepreneurship through Attitude. Research implications: The results of this study can have implications for developing entrepreneurship courses in higher education by incorporating Islamic Ethics Work to provide opportunities for students to adopt a sustainable entrepreneurship approach and reduce hedonism.

Abstract

Digitalization has become a disruption worldwide, including in Indonesia. One dominant aspect of this phenomenon is digital transactions. Bank of Indonesia (BI) reported that the cumulative value of electronic money transactions for the period of January to August 2024 reached IDR 1.6 quadrillion, representing a 35.76% growth compared to IDR 1.18 quadrillion (yoy). This highlights the role of digital transactions as a solution and convenience for various activities, including online crowdfunding. Crowdfunding is a rooted culture in Indonesia and demonstrates sustainable economic benefits in West Java. This activity does not always run smoothly, as issues arise within crowdfunding management institutions, leading to societal trust issues. Based on this phenomenon, strengthening the digital ecosystem in West Java is worthy of study. This research aims to measure society's digital competence level about digital transaction activities, particularly crowdfunding. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with a quantitative approach. Primary data from 258 respondents were obtained through questionnaire distribution targeting urban and rural communities in West Java was employed. The data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results show that the level of digital competence in society is not yet optimal; however, digital competence significantly influences digital transaction activities positively. Therefore, exploration is needed to establish credible crowdfunding management in West Java.
