Abstract

Technological developments have opened up the opportunity for every mixed culture, with negative and positive effects. One negative impact is that students tend to imitate foreign cultures and forget their culture's local wisdom values. Thus, the study intended to see the concept of integrating character education in siri’ na pacce’s local wisdom through sociology. This type of research is a library study that uses books and other literature as primary objects. Studies show how integrating siri’ na pacce’s value in sociology can be done through four strategies. First, exemplary strategy. The teacher, as the subject, gives an example of any action, behavior, or words that indicate siri’ na pacce's attitude. The second strategy is to intervene by integrating values-based character education siri’ na pacce in sociological studies. The third strategy is consistent breeding. After an exemplary and intervention strategy has been implemented, a strategy is needed to keep what has been implanted into a habit or habit. The fourth strategy is reinforcement. The strategy is basically done along with the breeding strategy. This integration can be an attempt to introduce and pass on local culture to the student, as well as good character creation.

Abstract

This study evaluates digital learning media created using Canva for the Sociology and Anthropology of Education course. The research involves 101 students and analyzes their perceptions regarding the digital learning media's accessibility, clarity, interactivity, and effectiveness. Using a comprehensive questionnaire, the study examines various aspects of digital learning media, including text readability, color contrast, navigation ease, and overall learning experience. The results indicate overwhelmingly positive responses, with most respondents (over 90%) agreeing that the Canva-based digital learning media enhanced their understanding, motivation, and learning engagement. The research provides insights into the potential of digital learning media in higher education and offers recommendations for future digital learning design.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low achievement of Indonesian language in the initial reading competence of mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar.The research question is: How is the initial reading ability of mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB C YPPLB Makassar through the implementation of the letter mat playing method. Based on the problem, the research aims to determine the initial reading ability of mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar through the implementation of the letter mat playing method. This research is a descriptive study, which aims to describe the initial reading ability before and after the use of the letter mat playing method on mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar. The data collection technique used is a performance test, and the respondents in this study are 3 mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar. Data analysis technique uses quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that there is an increase in the category value, which initially failed to become very good in the results of the initial reading ability of mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar. This means that this study shows that the initial reading ability of mildly intellectually disabled students in the second grade of SLB – C YPPLB Makassar can be improved through the use of the letter mat playing method.
