Abstract

This study examines the impact of the work environment and motivation on employee performance at the Agricultural Training Center, run by the Agricultural Extension and Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia. An associative quantitative technique was used to investigate the correlations between these factors, using data obtained from 37 workers by questionnaire. The findings show that both the work environment and motivation substantially and positively affect employee performance. Specifically, the work environment and motivation each showed t-values exceeding critical thresholds, with a combined F-value that supports a substantial impact on performance. The implications suggest that organizations can enhance employee performance by improving the work environment and strengthening motivational practices. It is recommended that management continue to foster a supportive work environment and implement strategies to maintain high employee motivation, such as providing recognition, incentives, and opportunities for career development. Further research could include a larger, more diverse sample to validate the findings and explore other factors influencing employee performance.

The purchase decision serves as the dependent variable, while celebrity endorsers and brand image are the independent variables. Using a quantitative, associative approach, primary data was collected from respondents in South Tangerang who have purchased and used Somethinc skincare products. Random sampling was applied, and SPSS was used for data analysis. The findings reveal that celebrity endorsers have a significant positive effect on purchase decisions, and brand image also plays a substantial role in influencing these decisions. The overall results indicate that both celebrity endorsers and brand image significantly impact purchase decisions.

Abstract

This study examines how Visual Aesthetic Design and Cross-Cultural Region impact the intention to purchase virtual items in the game Genshin Impact. The independent variables are Visual Aesthetic Design and Cross-Cultural Region, while the dependent variable is Purchase Intention. Data was gathered using SPSS 20 by distributing a questionnaire to 96 active players from Indonesia, aged 18-35, who have been playing Genshin Impact for at least 3 months. The research uses a quantitative associative approach with primary data and non-probability purposive sampling. The results show that Visual Aesthetic Design has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Intention, evidenced by a t-count of 3.486 (exceeding the t-table value of 1.661) and a significance level of 0.01 (below 0.05). Likewise, Cross-Cultural Region has a positive and significant impact on Purchase Intention, with a t-count of 5.576 (greater than the t-table value of 1.661) and a significance level of 0.00 (below 0.05). The combined effect of both Visual Aesthetic Design and Cross-Cultural Region on Purchase Intention is significant, as indicated by an F-count of 70.984 (surpassing the F-table value of 3.09) and a significance level of 0.00 (below 0.05).

Abstract

The performance of educational personnel plays a vital role in achieving the goals of higher education institutions. However, work discipline and competence are often underutilized, which may affect job satisfaction and overall performance. This study offers a fresh perspective by examining the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between work discipline, work competence, and employee performance within a faith-based university setting. A quantitative approach was applied, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to permanent educational staff. The analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Squares method. The findings reveal that both work discipline and work competence have a positive influence on job satisfaction and performance. Moreover, job satisfaction enhances the indirect effects of discipline and competence on performance, confirming its role as a significant mediator. In conclusion, strengthening work discipline and competence—either directly or by improving job satisfaction—can serve as an effective strategy to boost the performance of educational personnel in higher education. These insights can guide institutional leaders and policymakers in designing more responsive human resource development programs tailored to the needs of academic support staff.

Abstract

This study explores the combined effects of emotional intelligence, employee engagement, and psychological well-being on managerial competence within nonprofit organizations. The sector's unique challenges necessitate effective management to balance mission-driven goals with organizational sustainability. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 160 managers through structured questionnaires. Multiple linear regression analysis, conducted using JASP software, revealed that emotional intelligence, employee engagement, and psychological well-being significantly predict managerial competence. The model with these predictors (M₁) explained 84.7% of the variance in managerial competence (R² = 0.849, Adjusted R² = 0.847) and demonstrated a substantial improvement over the baseline model (M₀) with an R² of 0.000. The coefficients for emotional intelligence (β = 0.450, t = 7.223, p < 0.001), employee engagement (β = 0.473, t = 7.826, p < 0.001), and psychological well-being (β = 0.465, t = 7.419, p < 0.001) were all highly significant. Among these, employee engagement had the strongest impact on managerial competence. The ANOVA test confirmed the model's robustness, with an F-value of 293.461 (p < 0.001), indicating that these variables collectively explain a significant portion of the variance in managerial competence. This study highlights the importance of integrating these factors to enhance managerial effectiveness in nonprofit settings.
