Purpose – This research was conducted with the aim of minimizing various hazard risks to students, educators, and staff in nursing education laboratories through the implementation of HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control). Design/methods/approach – This research adopts a descriptive-analytic approach focusing on Occupational Health and Safety (K3) in nursing education laboratories. The HIRARC method is used to analyze hazard risks through the processes of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control. Data from hazard identification and risk assessment serve as the basis for determining risk control measures. Findings – Based on the analysis of occupational health and safety risk, it was found that the Nursing Laboratory at Blora, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, has a low-risk hazard potential of 45%, a moderate-risk potential of 40%, and a high-risk potential of 15%. These risks stem from electrical equipment, sharp instruments, corrosive materials, and other laboratory environmental factors. The majority of the risks are low-level, and the results indicate that the Blora Nursing Laboratory is relatively safe for users to conduct activities. Research implications/limitations – This research illustrates the remaining potential for moderate and high risks in the laboratory, highlighting the need for hazard controls such as understanding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and the safe use of laboratory facilities and equipment. Originality/value – The occupational safety and health risks in the Nursing Education Laboratory need to be regularly assessed as a basis for establishing hazard control measures in the laboratory. Abstrak Tujuan – Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan meminimalkan berbagai risiko bahaya bagi siswa, pendidik, dan staf di laboratorium pendidikan keperawatan melalui penerapan HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control). Desain/metode/pendekatan – Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitik yang berfokus pada Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di laboratorium pendidikan keperawatan. Metode HIRARC digunakan untuk menganalisis risiko bahaya melalui proses identifikasi bahaya, penilaian risiko, dan pengendalian risiko. Data hasil identifikasi bahaya dan penilaian risiko menjadi dasar dalam menentukan langkah pengendalian risiko. Temuan – Berdasarkan analisis risiko keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, ditemukan bahwa Laboratorium Keperawatan Blora, Poltekkes Kemenkes Semarang, memiliki potensi bahaya risiko rendah sebesar 45%, potensi risiko sedang sebesar 40%, dan potensi risiko tinggi sebesar 15%. Risiko ini berasal dari peralatan listrik, instrumen tajam, bahan korosif, serta faktor lingkungan laboratorium lainnya. Sebagian besar risiko berada pada tingkat rendah, dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Laboratorium Keperawatan Blora relatif aman untuk kegiatan pengguna. Implikasi/batasan penelitian – Penelitian ini mengilustrasikan adanya potensi risiko sedang dan tinggi yang tersisa di laboratorium, sehingga menyoroti perlunya pengendalian bahaya, seperti pemahaman terhadap Prosedur Operasional Standar (POS), penyediaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), serta penggunaan fasilitas dan peralatan laboratorium secara aman. Keaslian/nilai – Risiko keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja di Laboratorium Pendidikan Keperawatan perlu dinilai secara rutin sebagai dasar untuk menetapkan langkah pengendalian bahaya di laboratorium.
