Abstract

Menyikat gigi adalah tindakan untuk membersihkan gigi dan mulut dari sisa makanan dan debris yang bertujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya penyakit pada jaringan keras maupun lunak di mulut. Hasil studi pendahuluan di SDN 001 Biatan Lempake pada kelas V menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan siswa kategori perlu bimbingan sebanyak 80%. Banyaknya siswa yang memiliki tingkat pengetahuan rendah mempresentasikan banyaknya siswa yang belum terampil dalam menyikat gigi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan ceramah terhadap keterampilan menyikat gigi siswa sekolah dasar di Puskesmas Biatan Lempake. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pra-eksperimental dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh siswa di SDN 001 Biatan Lempake. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan yaitu 27 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar checklist. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan keterampilan sangat baik 7,4%, baik 25,9%, cukup 22,2%, dan perlu bimbingan 44,4%. Setelah diberikan intervensi meningkat menjadi sangat baik 88,9%, baik 7,4%, cukup 3,7%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan ρ-value 0,000. Kesimpulannya berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini terdapat pengaruh pendidikan kesehatan menggunakan metode demonstrasi dan ceramah terhadap keterampilan menyikat gigi.

Abstract

Backgorund : According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 100 thousand children die from diarrhea, 25.5% of deaths in children aged 4-11 years are caused by diarrhea. 40 to 60% of children's diarrhea is caused by rota virus contamination by not washing their hands. WHO states that washing hands with soap can reduce diarrhea rates by up to 47% (WHO, 2018). Efforts to prevent diarrhea can be done by implementing the habit of washing hands with soap (CTPS) for elementary school age children. Objective : The main aim of this research is to determine the effect of health education using the demonstration method on CTPS knowledge, attitudes and skills among students at SDN 022 Balikpapan. Methods : This research uses a one group pretest-posttest design. The location of this research was SDN 022 Balikpapan. The respondents in this research were 29 students. Result : The results of this study show that there are differences in knowledge, attitudes and skills after being given the intervention with the Wilcoxon test p-value 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion : So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the knowledge, attitudes and skills of respondents between before and after being given research intervention using the demonstration method.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Perilaku merokok kini tak terbatas pada orang dewasa, tetapi telah meluas ke remaja dan anak-anak. Masa remaja yang lebih rentan terhadap pengaruh lingkungan dan citra sosial yang mendorong mereka mencoba merokok. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran pemahaman dan persepsi tentang bahaya penggunaan rokok melalui kampanye kesehatan di media social di SMKN 18 Samarinda Kelurahan Lempake Kota Samarinda. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif murni dengan pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner Google Form. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling, dengan jumlah sampel siswa kelas XII berjumlah 210 siswa. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden adalah laki-laki (70%) dengan usia terbanyak 17 tahun (60,5%). Sebagian besar siswa tidak merokok (63,8%), dan bagi yang merokok, jenis rokok yang paling banyak dikonsumsi adalah rokok batangan. Media sosial yang paling sering digunakan adalah WhatsApp (27,4%), Tingkat pemahaman siswa mengenai kampanye bahaya rokok dikategorikan cukup (47,6%), baik (40,0%), dan kurang (12,4%). Sementara itu, persepsi siswa terhadap kampanye tersebut juga didominasi oleh kategori cukup (61,0%), diikuti oleh persepsi kurang (34,8%), dan persepsi baik (4,3%). Kesimpulan: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kampanye kesehatan di media social telah menjangkau siswa, tetapi tingkat pemahaman dan persepsi siswa masih perlu ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Oral health is a global health issue among children. The study aimed to analyze the effect of health education using crossword puzzles on knowledge about oral health among students at SDN 006 Loa Janan Ilir. The study was a pre-experimental study using an one-group pretest-posttest design. The intervention involved health education using crossword puzzles as a medium. The sample consisted of 79 fifth-grade students selected through total sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed statistically using the Wilcoxon test. The validity of the questionnaire was tested by comparing the calculated r-value with the table r-value. The questionnaire validity test used Cronbach's Alpha value. The research results showed that most respondents were 11 years old (63 students, 79.7%), female (45 students, 57%), had parents with a secondary education level (40 students, 50.6%), and had never received information about KGM (64 students, 81%). The number of students with good knowledge increased by 56 (80.9%). Meanwhile, the number of students with adequate knowledge decreased by 44, and the number of students with insufficient knowledge decreased by 12. Statistical analysis results indicated that there was an effect of the intervention on respondents' knowledge (ρ-value=0.000). Crossword puzzles was effective as a health education media about oral health for elementary school students.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus continues to be a major global health challenge due to its high prevalence and steady increase in cases. Effective management of DM can be achieved by strengthening self-care, primarily through improved knowledge. Health promotion has a vital role in enhancing awareness and disease management, particularly when delivered through video media that is visually engaging and aligned with technological progress. This study aimed to examine the impact of health education using video media in the Samarinda local language on the knowledge of DM patients at Baqa Health Center. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed, involving 52 participants recruited through consecutive sampling who met the inclusion criteria. Data were obtained using the DKQ-24 (Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire) consisting of 24 items. The Wilcoxon statistical test was applied with a significance level of α = 0.05. Findings revealed that the mean score prior to the intervention was 1.21, which rose to 2.54 following the intervention (ρ = 0.000). The significant increase demonstrates that health promotion through videos in the Samarinda dialect is highly effective in improving knowledge among DM patients at Baqa Health Center.
