Abstract

This research aims to describe and analyze the use of the reading corner program in increasing interest in reading and the obstacles to its use at SDN 14 Trans Sabung. This research uses a qualitative approach and the type of research used is descriptive. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. Then the data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display/data presentation and drawing conclusions. Techniques for checking the validity of research data use: triangulation and member check. The results of this research show that: (1) Using reading corners to increase reading interest in class III students at SDN 14 Trans Sabung, namely (a) Creating reading corners in each class. (b) Organize and manage the class reading corner by the homeroom teacher and all students in the class. (c) The homeroom teacher always updates the collection of reading books in the reading corner once a month to ensure that students do not get bored with the existing reading books. (d) There is a collection list and a list of reading recaps for the class reading corner. (e) Utilizing the reading corner during class hours, namely with subjects that require students to read simply by taking a reading book from the reading corner. (f) There are activities for students to read independently using the class reading corner by taking advantage of school break time. (2) The obstacles experienced by teachers in using the reading corner to increase interest in reading for class III students at SDN 14 Trans Sabung are: (a) Lack of budget for the creation of a reading corner. (b) Lack of special time for reading by students in the class reading corner. (c) Lack of parental contribution in creating a reading corner. (d) The books available in the reading corner are still incomplete. (e) The teacher's role is not optimal in facilitating the reading corner. (f) Lack of student enthusiasm in reading. (3) the results of using the reading corner in increasing interest in reading for class III students at SDN 14 Tran Sabung, namely: (1) increasing the frequency of students' reading, (2) increasing students' reading skills, (3) increasing the school's quality scores in the field of literacy.

Abstract

Developing Islamic culture in schools means instilling in children good habits that are in line with Islamic values ​​which are manifested in the way students act and behave. The school principal feels it is very necessary to develop these Islamic values ​​and make them a way of life and a guide to behavior. This research was designed using a qualitative approach method and a case study type of research. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that: (1) the visionary leadership competency possessed by the school principal is being able to realize the vision, being a good communicator, having clear leadership targets, being adaptive, and having the effort to provide the best school services, (2) the role of visionary leadership The principal in developing an Islamic culture, namely determining steps and strategies to achieve school goals, anticipating various policy changes, establishing communication and building relationships with internal and external schools, and trying to be a good role model for the school community, (3 ) the implications of the school principal's visionary leadership for Islamic culture, namely the habituation of Islamic values ​​which are based on the school's vision and mission, the creation of an Islamic climate by preparing habituation programs, carrying out regular monitoring and evaluation, and reminding teachers to continue to provide good examples for children and always optimistic in carrying out their roles.

Abstract

Principal leadership is the ablitity to mobilize existing resources in a school to be used optimally to achieve the expected goald. 1). The aim of this research is toreveal :What are the forms of school to improve students. 2). Implementing the program carried out by the school principal in improving students at sdn 22 Sulur Medan 2023-2024. 3) .Obstacles faced by school principals at SDN 22 Sulur Medan 2023-2024. This researcher used a phenomological type of research with a qualitative approach, data collection techniques using abservation interviews and documentation interviews and documentation while the data analysis techiniques used were data collection data reduction data presentation and drawing conclusions teachniques for cheking the validity of the data and using source collation and cheking. The results of this research show that : What are the forms of the principal's program in improving student discipline at SDN 22 Sulur Medan for the 2023-2024 academic year? There are several programs as follows: a. Rules obeyed by students and teachers. b. Regulations regarding class start times. c. Increase discipline towards students, so that if there are assignments at home (PR) they cannot be done at school, this is so that students can study at home when they are not at school. What is the implementation of the principal's program to improve student discipline at SDN 22 Sulur Medan for the 2023-2024 academic year. Preliminary activities in using the disciplinary learning process with students. Students who do not want to do assignments take a direct approach to students. The preliminary stage is already in the lesson plan. The obstacles faced by school principals in improving student discipline at SDN 22 Sulur Medan 2023-2024, there are 2 factors, namely internal consisting of within the students while external from outside, namely the social environment.
