Abstract

Bawang dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia (L.) Merr) berasal dari Negara Amerika sebagai bahan baku obat. Provinsi Riau memiliki lahan gambut 4,9 juta ha terluas dibelum termanfaatkan optimal untuk budidaya tanaman obat. Untuk menunjang pertumbuhan bawang dayak agar berproduksi maksimal diperlukan penambahan trichokompos. Tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi dan utama pemberian dosis trichocompos pada berbagai komposisi gambut terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi bawang Dayak menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama dosis trichocompos (T) faktor kedua komposisi gambut (G). Parameter yang di amati tinggi tanaman, umur panen, jumlah umbi per rumpun, berat basah umbi per rumpun, berat kering umbi per rumpun, persentase susut umbi dan indeks panen. Data pengamatan terakhir dianalisis statistik. dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut BNJ pada taraf 5%. Perlakuan terbaik pada kombinasi T3G3 dan T2G2. Pengaruh utama dosis Trichoderma/kompos nyata terhadap semua parameter. Perlakuan terbaik (T3). Pengaruh utama komposisi gambut nyata terhadap semua parameter.Perlakuan terbaik (G3)

Abstract

Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of Indonesia's leading commodities, significantly contributing to the national GDP, foreign exchange earnings, and tax revenues. As the world’s largest producer and exporter of crude palm oil (CPO), Indonesia’s palm oil industry plays a strategic role in maintaining economic stability and global competitiveness. Oil palm productivity is influenced by various factors, including soil chemical properties, particularly in mineral soils with varying fertility levels. This study aims to analyze the effect of soil chemical properties on oil palm fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production in Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The parameters analyzed include soil pH, organic matter content, cation exchange capacity (CEC), base saturation (BS), and macronutrient availability (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium). The research methodology involves secondary data collection from plantation companies, multiple linear regression analysis, and Duncan's test to determine the effect of each soil parameter on oil palm production. The results indicate that soil chemical properties, including pH, CEC, BS, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, significantly affect oil palm productivity. Optimal production was observed in soils with a pH of 4.9–6.5, high CEC (>3.8 cmol(+)/kg), and base saturation above 16.3%. The low nutrient content at the study site highlights the need for soil fertility management through liming and organic fertilizers. The study outputs include soil chemical property maps, soil-parameter-based models for predicting oil palm production, and recommendations for mineral soil management to optimize production.

Abstract

The conversion of rubber land to oil palm in the TBM phase has the potential to cause soil degradation due to low organic matter and nutrient availability. low organic matter and increasing risk of erosion on the plant. Not yet producing (TBM). Land conditions are open, without vegetation, which speeds up washing. Nutrients are essential, so a management strategy is needed that maintains soil quality while providing economic benefits to farmers. The intercropping system of corn and soybeans is an important strategy for improving soil quality while increasing economic benefits for oil palm farmers. Study This aim analyze influence system intercropping corn (Zea mays) And soya bean (Glycine max) to change characteristic physique and chemistry land on TBM phase oil palm land resulting from conversion from rubber, and comparing the quality of the soil with the land without intercropping. The study was conducted in the Village of Cape Rambutan, Regency of Kampar, with a purposive sampling design. Sample land taken before and after the implementation of intercropping, with a total of 48 samples analyzed in the laboratory. The parameters observed included soil physical properties (texture, bulk density, porosity, infiltration rate and water-holding capacity). Water level and characteristic soil chemistry (pH, organic carbon, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, CEC, exchangeable bases, and base saturation). Data were analyzed, and the results of the research showed that the application of the corn and soybean intercropping system improved the physical and chemical properties of the soil on oil palm land during the TBM phase, making it a more effective and sustainable land management method. Therefore, this system is recommended to farmers and plantation managers as an alternative to maintain soil quality while increasing the economic value of the land.
