Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of da’wah strategies in enhancing professional and morally virtuous human resources through a community engagement approach. The research adopts a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that contextual and participatory da’wah strategies, combined with empowerment programs, effectively improve participants' professional competencies through skill training, reinforcement of Islamic work ethics, and digital literacy. Furthermore, moral values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and social care were successfully internalized and applied in daily life. The utilization of digital technology has expanded the reach of da’wah, although challenges such as low digital literacy and resistance to modern methods remain. This study highlights the importance of collaboration among religious leaders, educational institutions, and government bodies to support the sustainability of structured and adaptive da’wah programs. With appropriate strategies, da’wah can play a significant role in creating a generation that is professional, competitive, and morally virtuous in accordance with Islamic values. Abstract

This community service project aims to introduce and comparatively examine the concept of tawḥīd within two major schools of Sufism Sunni Sufism and Philosophical Sufism while highlighting their relevance to contemporary spiritual needs. Using a qualitative-descriptive and participatory approach, the activity was carried out at the Bonavida Foundation, Haurgelis, on May 6, 2025, involving foster children, local community members, and foundation volunteers. The results revealed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of tawḥīd values, reflected in their ability to distinguish between the transcendence emphasized in Sunni Sufism and the immanence stressed in Philosophical Sufism. Interactive lectures and reflective discussions successfully nurtured deeper and more applicable spiritual awareness in daily life. Furthermore, the integration of orthodox and philosophical perspectives in Sufism proved to offer a balanced, rational, and contextually relevant spiritual foundation for modern society. Thus, this program served not only as a medium for disseminating religious knowledge but also as an effort to foster spiritual empowerment and strengthen tawḥīd-based Islamic character amidst contemporary challenges.
