Abstract

Introduction: Cases of death and infection due to COVID-19 in Indonesia are the highest compared to other countries in Southeast Asia even though there are various types of Covid-19 vaccines in Indonesia. Although the Covid-19 vaccine has several benefits, there are side effects caused by vaccine administration (AEFI). Many studies have been conducted on AEFI of Covid-19 vaccine in the general public, but the number of studies that discuss special groups needs to be studied further. Objective: This research aims to find out AEFI from more diverse community groups so that the results can be used as material for consideration in policy making. Method: This type of research is a quantitative study with a research design using a cross-sectional study design and using the chi-square test. The sample amounted to 656 respondents who were taken using simple random sampling. Data collection was conducted in September 2023 based on a web survey through Google Forms. Questions regarding diet refer to the General Guidelines for Balanced Nutrition, sleep quality refers to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and anxiety refers to the Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS). Data will be processed using Stata 18 data processing application. Result: There was no correlation between the factors studied and post-immunization adverse events (AEFI). However, history of atopic disease had an effect of 1.355 times greater than the dietary category which only had an effect of 0.725 times. Conclusion: Factors associated with post-immunization adverse events (AEFI) such as socio-demographics, history of illness, diet and breakfast, history of allergic disease, history of atopic disease, history of anxiety, vaccine complaints, post-vaccine reactions did not have a significant association with AEFI.

Abstract

Background: Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) has a higher chance of occurance and progression in maxillary sinus cancer than other paranasal sinus cancers (80%). Matrix metalloproteinase-7 (MMP-7) is a protease specified in collagen type IV degradation and Heparin Binding Epidermal Growth Factor activation, which causes an increase in squamous cell carcinoma proliferation and metastasis Methods: This review aims to identify the potential role of MMP-7 as a target for prevention and therapeutic modality to manage SCC sinus maxillary cancer. We did literature searching in several databases to elucidate the importance of the MMP-7 pathway in SCC sinus maxillary cancer progression. Results: : Increasing expression and activity of MMP-7 are associated with maxillary sinus cancer progression. Squamous cells, the most impacted in maxillary sinus cancer, sustain dysplasia due to heparin-binding epidermal growth factor (HB-EGF) activation into EGF by MMP-7 and Cluster of Differentiation 44 (CD44) binding complexes that trigger high proliferation and mitogenic activity. The therapeutic function of MMP-7 occurs by affecting the protein 53 (p53) in cancer cell apoptosis initiation by specific interaction with CD44. Conclusion: MMP-7 could be an alternative therapeutic target and potential treatment option for maxillary sinus cancer. Furthermore, more trials should be done to test the relevancy of MMP-7 uses as an SCC sinus maxillary cancer modality

Abstract

Latar belakang: Salah satu pencegahan penularan Covid-19 adalah pemberian vaksinasi Covid-19 minimal 2 kali dosis wajib dan 1 dosis booster bagi masyarakat umum dan 2 dosis booster bagi tenaga kesehatan. Kebijakan ini menuai beragam reaksi dari masyarakat, di antaranya adalah sindiran terhadap regulasi baru tersebut. Keadaan ini dimanfaatkan oleh beberapa akun untuk menyampaikan edukasi terkait vaksinasi booster Covid-19 kepada khalayak umum, salah satunya adalah dengan meme satir. Meme satir merupakan konten audio visual yang khas dalam penggunaan gaya bahasa menyindir dan melibatkan humor. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan penerimaan informasi dari meme satir sebagai sarana media promosi vaksinasi booster Covid-19. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan purposive sampling sebanyak 111 responden yang memenuhi kriteria dan mengisi kuesioner online. Penelitian dilakukan pada Juli – Agustus 2022. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif analitik berdasarkan frekuensi dan persentase. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menemukan sebanyak 75 responden (67,6%) setuju bahwa meme satir mempunyai probabilitas menjadi media promosi vaksinasi booster Covid-19 dan 70 responden (63,1%) setuju bahwa informasi terkait vaksinasi dalam meme satir dapat diterima dengan baik. Media sosial yang digunakan dalam keseharian responden untuk memperoleh informasi antara lain Instagram (88,3%), Whatsapp (82,0%), Twitter (59,5%), dan Tiktok (56,8%). Kesimpulan: Meme satir dapat menjadi alternatif media baru dalam mempromosikan vaksinasi booster Covid-19 dengan penerimaan informasi yang baik. Penggunaan meme satir dapat digunakan tidak terbatas pada Instagram, tetapi juga media sosial lainnya.
