Abstract

Trust in Islam is a fundamental concept that includes divine values (hablum minallah) and human values (hablum minannas). As a divine value, trust symbolizes human responsibility to Allah SWT, which is manifested in worship, obedience to the Shari'a, and management of the earth as caliph. This principle is confirmed in QS. An-Nisa: 58 and QS. Al-Baqarah: 30, which links trust with justice and human obedience to God's will. By carrying out trust, humans strengthen their spiritual connection with God, maintaining the balance of nature. As a human value, amanah emphasizes the importance of moral responsibility towards fellow humans, such as upholding justice, solidarity and respect for human rights. Islam teaches that humans must maintain harmonious relationships through the practice of social justice and fair treatment of individuals and society. Recent research shows that violations of trust, such as dishonesty and overexploitation, have a negative impact on relationships between individuals and the ecosystem. Thus, trust becomes an integral element in realizing harmonious human relationships with God and others, while ensuring the sustainability of life on earth.

Humanist education has the harmony that a person is able to develop as a whole, in harmony with all elements of humanity, and is able to recognize and respect the humanity of each person. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytic approach and collects information using literature study. The research results show that humanist values are very important to internalize in order to avoid the negative impacts of unequal educational implementation, such as technocentrism and the commercialization of education. Internalization of humanist values can be realized through the use of learning methods, media and models that suit needs, as well as contextual learning content.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of fasting and Hajj on psychological aspects and individual personality formation. The background to this research is the importance of understanding how religious rituals can have a profound influence on daily life, especially in the context of controlling emotions, decision making, and character formation. This study focuses on the experiences of a basic food trader, Ahmad Fauzan, who is fasting, and a housewife, Siti Sahara, who has completed the Hajj, to illustrate the role of worship in changing an individual's personality and psychological well-being. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods as the main technique for collecting data. Informants were selected purposively based on suitability for the research objectives. Interviews were conducted to understand their subjective experiences during fasting and Hajj. Ahmad Fauzan revealed that fasting helps him manage emotions, such as increasing patience and gratitude, as well as forming a personality that is more honest and surrenders to Allah. Siti Sahara, through her Hajj experience, experienced significant spiritual transformation, such as emotional control, deep introspection, and resilience in facing life's challenges. The research results show that fasting and Hajj have a significant impact on psychological well being and individual personality formation. Ahmad and Siti showed positive changes in terms of patience, honesty, gratitude and spiritual steadfastness. The conclusion of this research is that religious worship functions not only as a spiritual ritual but also as a tool to build character, improve mental health, and create better relationships with others and God.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the talaqq? musy?fahah method in Qur’an memorization learning at MTsS Al-Washliyah Tembung and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that affect its effectiveness. This method relies on direct oral instruction between teacher and student, where the teacher recites a verse first and the students imitate it collectively or individually. The process continues with periodic memorization submissions, direct correction by the teacher, repetition (mur?ja‘ah), and memorization evaluation using a structured guidebook. The study adopts a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data analysis model techniques which include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results show that the application of the talaqq? musy?fahah method creates an interactive and profound learning atmosphere. It not only emphasizes technical aspects such as tajw?d and makhraj but also fosters emotional closeness between teacher and student. Despite challenges such as varying memorization abilities, high target loads, and a lack of independent practice, several supporting factors such as student motivation, discipline, intensive teacher guidance, and the use of murottal media help students make significant progress in memorization. Overall, the talaqq? musy?fahah method has proven effective in improving the quality of recitation, the quantity of memorized verses, and the students’ retention of Qur’anic passages. Therefore, the findings of this study can be a reference for Al-Quran educators, as well as an innovation and development
