Abstract

Digitalization provides students with space for learning independence, so increasing motivation to learn independence becomes an important part of the process. This study aims to examine the moderating affects of learning motivation between digital literacy and learning independence in high school students in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 200 respondents through a questionnaire, the data was analyzed using SMANrtPLS software and descriptive analysis of the data. The results of the hypothesis show that digital literacy and learning motivation have a significant positive effect on learning independence, and digital literacy has a significant positive impact on learning independence which is strengthened by learning motivation moderation. The use of learning motivation moderation in examine the effect of digital literacy on learning independence has never been studied. The findings of the study are expected to be developed by further researchers by identifying variables that have not been examine, and schools are expected to strengthen students' digital literacy and motivate to encourage student learning independence. ABSTRAKDigitalisasi memberikan ruang kemandirian belajar bagi siswa, sehingga meningkatkan dorongan dalam kemandirian belajar menjadi bagian yang penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh moderasi motivasi belajar antara literasi digital dan kemandirian belajar pada siswa SMAN se-Kota Bima Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 362 responden melalui kuesioner, data dianalisis menggunakan software Smartpls dan menggunakan analisis deskriptif terhadap data yang diuji. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital dan motivasi belajar secara positif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemandirian belajar, literasi digital secara positif berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemandirian belajar yang diperkuat moderasi motivasi belajar. Penggunaan moderasi motivasi belajar dalam menguji pengaruh literasi digital terhadap kemandirian belajar belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Temuan penelitian diharapkan dapat dikembangkan peneliti selanjutnya dengan mengidentifikasi vairabel yang belum diuji, serta sekolah diharapkan untuk memperkuat literasi digital sisiwa dan memotivasi untuk mendorong kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the improvement of student engagement in digitalization of learning at SMA Negeri 1 Wera. In the digital era, the application of information and communication technology is very important to improve student access, interaction, and motivation in the learning process. The method used is qualitative with a case study design, involving 30 students, 5 teachers, and 1 principal. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that digitalization expands access to learning materials and improves interaction between students and teachers, although challenges such as gaps in access to technology still exist. Parental and community support also greatly influences the success of digitalization. This study recommends a comprehensive strategy to improve student engagement in the digital era. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dalam digitalisasi pembelajaran di SMA Negeri 1 Wera. Dalam era digital, penerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan akses, interaksi, dan motivasi siswa dalam proses belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan 30 siswa, 5 guru, dan 1 kepala sekolah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi memperluas akses materi pembelajaran dan meningkatkan interaksi antara siswa dan guru, meskipun tantangan seperti kesenjangan akses teknologi masih ada. Dukungan orang tua dan komunitas juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan digitalisasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan strategi yang komprehensif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa di era digital.

Abstract

This study critically reviews the ethics and challenges of Artificial Intelligence (AI) implementation in education in Indonesia, addressing a significant research gap concerning comprehensive, context-specific, and management-focused analyses. The primary purpose is to identify ethical dilemmas and practical challenges in AI integration within Indonesian educational settings and propose pragmatic solutions. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a critical literature review design, the study systematically analyzed academic literature and policy documents from Scopus, Google Scholar, and ERIC, published between 2020 and 2024. Data were meticulously analyzed using content and thematic analysis. Key findings reveal that while AI offers substantial potential for personalized learning and efficiency, its adoption in Indonesia is significantly hindered by pressing ethical concerns, including student data privacy vulnerabilities, the pervasive threat of algorithmic bias, and challenges to academic integrity. These ethical issues are compounded by substantial infrastructural disparities, particularly in remote regions, and a widespread deficit in digital literacy among educators and students. Furthermore, the research highlights critical educational management and policy gaps, characterized by a lack of comprehensive national strategies, clear institutional guidelines, and robust accountability mechanisms. The study concludes that successful AI integration in Indonesian education necessitates a holistic, integrated, and values-driven strategic management approach, emphasizing ethical governance, extensive capacity building, and robust policy formulation to ensure AI enhances human dignity and educational quality rather than exacerbating existing inequalities.
