Abstract

This study investigates the contribution of Islamic philosophy to shaping an ethical society, focusing on its relevance in education, social development, and addressing the challenges posed by technology and globalization. The central question explored is how Islamic philosophical principles can serve as a foundational framework for ethical values in contemporary contexts. Employing a qualitative approach through a literature study, this research analyzes the works of classical Islamic philosophers and examines their applicability to modern societal issues. The findings highlight that Islamic philosophy emphasizes the centrality of education rooted in moral and social values, fostering inclusive and equitable social development. It also offers critical ethical guidance on the responsible use of technology and the socio-cultural impacts of globalization. By bridging classical thought with modern challenges, this study underscores the enduring relevance of Islamic philosophical principles in providing holistic and value-driven solutions to contemporary problems. The originality of this research lies in its application of Islamic ethical values to modern dilemmas, demonstrating their potential to address pressing issues in education, social cohesion, and technological advancement. This work contributes to ongoing scholarly discussions on the role of religion and philosophy in creating a just and ethical global society.

Abstract

This journal discusses the challenge of integrating tradition and modernity within the context of advancing the Muslim community in the era of globalization. By proposing a new paradigm that combines Islamic and Western epistemology, this study aims to explore how moral and ethical values can be integrated into education to develop competent and integrity-driven young leaders. The method used in this research includes a literature review and comparative analysis of educational practices in the Muslim world and Western scientific approaches. The findings indicate that education focused on critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration across various sectors can provide relevant solutions to contemporary challenges. Additionally, through intercultural dialogue and active participation in social and political dynamics, Muslims can build a more inclusive and progressive society. The conclusion of this study confirms that this new paradigm not only addresses the challenges faced by Muslims but also contributes to building a more harmonious and sustainable world.

Abstract

Pemikiran David Hume tentang keterbatasan akal budi dalam menentukan kebenaran dan pengambilan keputusan moral tetap relevan hingga saat ini, terutama di tengah perkembangan teknologi dan kecerdasan buatan. Kritik Hume menunjukkan bahwa manusia tidak sepenuhnya dapat mengandalkan rasionalitas untuk memahami kebenaran objektif karena keputusan-keputusan moral sering kali dipengaruhi oleh emosi, kebiasaan, dan persepsi subjektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kajian literatur dengan metode analisis kritis terhadap karya-karya Hume serta interpretasi kontemporer dalam bidang neuroscience, ekonomi perilaku, dan teknologi. Pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa pengambilan keputusan manusia—baik dalam konteks moral maupun ilmiah—memiliki batas-batas yang tidak dapat sepenuhnya dijelaskan oleh logika rasional. Hal ini sejalan dengan penemuan modern yang mendukung peran emosi dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kritik Hume terhadap rasionalitas murni mengajak kita untuk mempertimbangkan integrasi antara aspek rasional dan emosional dalam menghadapi kompleksitas kehidupan modern. Penelitian ini mengusulkan agar perkembangan teknologi, khususnya dalam kecerdasan buatan, turut memperhatikan dimensi manusiawi yang tidak bisa diabaikan untuk menciptakan sistem yang lebih bijaksana dan inklusif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi relevansi dan aplikasi dialog filosofis Islam-Kristen, khususnya antara Ibn Rushd dan Thomas Aquinas, dalam membangun harmoni keberagamaan di masyarakat modern. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari berbagai literatur yang membahas hubungan antara pengetahuan, kekuasaan, dan tanggung jawab moral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan dialog filosofis yang menghargai akal, keterbukaan, dan saling menghormati memiliki peran signifikan dalam pendidikan dan masyarakat. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penerapan dialog filosofis dalam pendidikan mampu mengembangkan pemikiran kritis yang lebih inklusif, serta mendorong kohesi sosial dalam masyarakat yang beragam. Penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan penelitian lanjutan tentang penerapan dialog filosofis dalam kebijakan publik dan teknologi digital untuk memperkuat hubungan lintas budaya dan agama. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan perspektif baru mengenai pentingnya dialog filosofis dalam mencapai perdamaian dan harmoni keberagamaan di era modern.
