Abstract

Kata kunci: Problem based learning (PBL), berpikir kritis. Abstract: The modernization of education, which continues to shift and has entered a new stage, causes the need for an update in the curriculum, namely by launching the Independent Learning Curriculum with the Pancasila Student Profile in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 22 of 2020. The educational concept raised in the Independent Curriculum is students as the center of learning, so that an appropriate learning model is needed and can increase the character dimension contained in the Pancasila Student Profile, namely critical reasoning. One of the learning models used is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This learning model can be used to train students' critical thinking skills and make students the center of learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the use of the PBL model on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics class IV. The method used is an experimental research method with the type of Quasi Experimental Design type of Nonequevalent Control Group Design. The population of this study is class IV students who are divided into experimental and control classes. The data collection techniques used are observation, tests and documentation with data analysis techniques in the form of normality tests, homogeneity tests and hypothesis tests. The results of the normality test of the data of the experimental and control classes were normally distributed and the results of the homogeneity test obtained sig. 0.248, so that the data variants are declared homogeneous. The hypothesis test was carried out using independent sample t test analysis and obtained the results of t calculation ≥ t table, which were 3.618 ≥ 2.003 at df = 56 with a significance level of 5% and a sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.001 < 0.05 which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills in mathematics class IV. Keywords: Problem based learning (PBL), critical thinking.

Abstract

The Kerandangan TWA conservation area has high biodiversity, but much of it is unknown, including grasshoppers. This research aims to analyze the diversity of grasshoppers in the area. Grasshopper samples were collected on two transects determined purposively. This collection was carried out over two months, namely October to November 2022. Data on species and numbers were analyzed descriptively. This analysis includes abundance, richness index, diversity index, and species evenness index. Our findings show that there are 8 species of grasshoppers from the families Acrididae, Pyrgomorphidae, Catantopidae, and Tettigoniidae. The most abundant species was Stenocatantops splendens, whose proportion was 66.67%. The species richness, diversity, and evenness indexes were 2.06, 1.27, and 0.61, respectively. This shows that grasshopper biodiversity in Kerandangan TWA is relatively low. However, it must be conserved because of its essential role in maintaining regional ecological processes.
