Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students through a practical approach to prayer and dhikr material. In this study, the learning methods applied include demonstrations, simulations, and group discussions, so that students are actively involved in the practice of worship. For six weeks, students were trained to understand the procedures for prayer and dhikr with a focus on direct experience. Data were collected through pre- and post-learning tests, as well as observations of student participation in class. The results of the analysis showed an increase in the average test score from 68 to 86, as well as an increase in student motivation and activeness as reflected in the questionnaire. In addition, students showed a better understanding of the meaning and purpose of worship. These findings emphasize the effectiveness of a practical approach in religious learning, which can shape students' character and discipline in worship. This study recommends the application of similar methods in various educational contexts to improve religious learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing Quizizz-based assessment on improving Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning outcomes of students at SMPN 4, Payakumbuh District. The problem faced is the low PAI learning outcomes caused by the lack of interaction and motivation in reading test questions. As a solution, the researcher implemented a Quizizz-based assessment, an interactive quiz platform that allows students to be more active and motivated in participating in the evaluation. The approach used in this study is Classroom Action Research. Data were collected through learning outcome tests given before and after the implementation of Quizizz. The results of the study showed that the completeness of student learning outcomes in the pre-cycle before using Quizizz-based assessment was 51.72%. After using Quizizz, in cycle I the percentage of student learning outcomes reached 79.13%, in cycle II the learning outcomes increased to 82.75%. In cycle III the percentage of student learning reached 93.10%. The results of the analysis showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of Quizizz-based assessment. Therefore, the implementation of Quizizz-based assessment can be an effective alternative in improving the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning at SMPN 4, Payakumbuh District.

Abstract

Engaging and enjoyable learning is a condition that students aspire to. When students are enthusiastic and highly motivated in their learning, their academic performance will improve. To achieve engaging learning, various media can be used, one of which is the Quizizz application, a medium for learning while playing. This research aims to describe the improvement in Islamic Religious Education learning outcomes using the Quizizz application in class IX.2 UPTD SMPN 4 Lareh Sago Halaban District. The approach that will be used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) with pre-cycle, cycle 1, cycle 2, and cycle 3. The type of research used in this study is descriptive quantitative. The research results indicate that the students' learning completeness at the initial condition before using the Quizizz application was 31%. After using the Quizizz application in the pre-cycle, the percentage of students' learning outcomes reached 42%, in Cycle I it increased to 54%, in Cycle II it increased to 65%, and in Cycle III it increased to 81%. Based on the results of the classroom action research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the application of the Quizizz application as an assessment medium in Islamic Religious Education and Character Education subjects effectively improves students' learning outcomes. The increase in the percentage of learning completeness from 42% in the pre-cycle to 81% in Cycle III indicates that the use of the Quizizz application can be an interesting alternative to enhance students' learning outcomes.
