Abstract

The guidance and counseling program is a design carried out over some time, it is divided into annual programs and semester programs.  In this program, there is one service called responsive service, this service must be provided immediately to students to avoid any difficulties in achieving their developmental tasks.  The study is based on the limited number of stakeholders in schools who rarely play an active role in performing the programs, which causes the service implementation not to work effectively, including the implementation of responsive services to students.  This study aims to determine the role of each stakeholder at the school in optimizing responsive services through collaboration with counseling teachers.  This research uses a qualitative method with library research which is used for collecting the data and information through a wide range of literature related to the research. The results of the research are (1) the Definition, objectives, and principles of guidance and counseling; (2) the Definition and objectives of the guidance and counseling program; (3) the Definition, objectives, focus, and responsive service strategy; (4) The role of stakeholders in optimizing responsive services through collaboration with guidance and counseling teachers.

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of group counseling based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in enhancing self-confidence among junior high school students, using a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design. Two instruments were employed: treatment and measurement. The treatment instrument consisted of a guide for implementing group counseling, while the measurement instrument was a self-confidence inventory. The findings demonstrated that ACT-based group counseling effectively enhances self-confidence among junior high school students. The study provided two recommendations: (i) for guidance and counseling teachers, ACT-based group counseling can be applied to strengthen students’ self-confidence and support their developmental understanding; and (ii) for future researchers, given that ACT-based counseling incorporates six core processes (acceptance, cognitive defusion, being present, self-as-context, values, and committed action). Future studies may explore its effectiveness with additional or alternative techniques.

Abstract

Teknik self management merupakan salah satu strategi yang dalam penerapannya bertujuan untuk mewujudkan pengubahan  perilaku yang dimana dalam prosesnya individu akan mengarahkan perubahan tingkah lakunya sendiri menggunakan suatu teknik atau kombinasi dari teknik terapeutik. Perilaku terlambat yang terjadi terus menerus akan menjadi penyebab awal terjadinya penurunan prestasi belajar pada peserta didik. Hal ini dikarenakan ketika datang terlambat, peserta didik akan kehilangan dan tertinggal sebagian materi pembelajaran yang telah dijelaskan oleh guru. Pengabdian ini didasarkan pada kecenderungan peserta didik yang menerapkan perilaku datang terlambat ke sekolah. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan teknik self management terhadap perilaku datang terlambat pada peserta didik di SD Negeri Jajar Tunggal III Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Adapun prosedur dalam penelitian tindakan kelas terdapat empat langkah - langkah, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, serta refleksi. Hasil dari pengabdian ini bahwa penerapan teknik self management terhadap perilaku datang terlambat pada peserta didik dianggap efektif, sehingga dapat menumbuhkan komitmen pada diri sendiri dalam menghargai waktu dan merubah perilaku yang maladaptif menjadi adaptif.
