Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the kanyaah fund in RT 05 Sukamulya Village which is one of the programs in building interfaith solidarity through health and funeral financing. This research is a qualitative study with data collection techniques of participant observation and in-depth interviews, using social solidarity theory analysis in responding to universal human needs and how individuals play an active role in the creation of social solidarity for people who have different beliefs in it.  The results showed that through the kanyaah fund walking program, social solidarity was created in maintaining a life that upholds tolerance and harmonization in Sukamulya Village.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the digitalization at SMAN 20 Batam as a “Sekolah Penggerak” (Driving School). This research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were obtained from the official website of SMAN 20 Batam and a YouTube video featuring the principal of SMAN 20 Batam, both of which contain information related to digitalization. The research was conducted from September to October 2024. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation by validating the collected data from the website and YouTube video observations. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings show that digitalization at SMAN 20 Batam, as a “Sekolah Penggerak,” includes, first, the use of the school website to provide information, learning resources, and assessments through various user-friendly features and sub-features accessible to students, teachers, and parents. Second, the school implements the use of Smart Card IDs for attendance and digital library book borrowing. The use of Smart Card IDs for attendance is considered effective and helpful for parents to monitor their children’s school attendance through notifications sent to their mobile phones. The success of digitalization at SMAN 20 Batam is undoubtedly supported by the active role of the school principal
