Abstract

The rehabilitation of irrigation pumps plays a crucial role in ensuring sufficient water availability for rice fields in Gampong Limpong, Darussalam District. A significant challenge faced by farmers in this region is the malfunctioning of irrigation pumps, which leads to suboptimal water distribution. This issue directly affects agricultural productivity and the welfare of farmers. Through rehabilitation efforts, damaged pumps are either repaired or replaced with more efficient units. The rehabilitation process involves the identification of damages, repair of key components, and operational trials to verify optimal pump performance. Results from this initiative indicate a more stable availability of irrigation water, thereby enhancing crop yields for farmers. This rehabilitation not only offers technical solutions but also fosters active community involvement in maintaining the sustainability of the irrigation system. Consequently, this program contributes positively to the development of the agricultural sector in Gampong Limpok.

Abstract

One of the factors that requires more attention for the success of an industry is a smooth production process. PT XYZ is a company engaged in urea fertiliser and other chemical components. In its production process, the company needs steam as a primary resource, which is used both as a raw material for production and as an energy source. The problem the company faced during production is boiler downtime, resulting the lack of steam production generated. This study aims to calculate the boiler's effectiveness level using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and to identify the risks of failure that occur in the boiler using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Additionally, this study identifies the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the company. Based on the OEE calculations, the boiler's effectiveness rate stands at 79.26%. These results indicate that the boiler's effectiveness has not met the international standards. The FMEA analysis reveals eight critical risks in the boiler, categorised as top priorities for maintenance. Improvements in OEE can be achieved by implementing one of the TPM pillars, which is preventive maintenance.

Abstract

Charity activities in Limpok Village, Aceh Besar District, Darussalam District, Aceh State. This activity was carried out because there is a small river in the village and the water is not yet available as a source of water for the rice fields. The purpose of this activity is to obtain and distribute rice water to increase farmers' yields. As for the stage of activities, we hold round-table discussions with local residents about the water demand of paddy fields, investigate the locations of PVC pipes, and work with local residents to lay PVC pipes. This activity demonstrates the great enthusiasm of residents to participate in a series of community service activities. As a result of this activity, we succeeded in pumping up water from a small river to the rice fields, which had previously depended on rainwater. This charity should therefore serve as an example for other villages with similar problems and demonstrate the importance of cooperation between communities and government agencies in building and improving the quality of life in the region.
