Abstract

Background: Nutritional problems are the focus of problems in Indonesia with the main causal factor being the fulfillment of nutrients in toddlers. This is greatly influenced by toddlers' eating behavior which is formed from family parenting in meeting nutritional needs starting from serving food menus to eating habits. Efforts to improve this by stimulating growth and development by providing additional, highly nutritious food for toddlers. Research objective: to analyze the effectiveness of providing healthy snacks on toddlers' eating behavior in Langenharjo Village, Pati. Method: This type of research uses a pre-experiment with a pretest posttest group design, a purposive sampling technique of 20 toddlers aged 3-5 years with a T growth category, while the analysis uses the Shapiro Wilk test for data normality, the Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests to determine the effectiveness of variables study. Research results: There was an effect of providing PMT counseling on the eating behavior of toddlers with a p value of 0.002 <0.05 with the mean rank of the intervention group being higher than the control group, meaning that PMT counseling was proven to be more effective in improving the eating behavior of toddlers compared to without providing PMT. Suggestion: increase and motivate families of toddlers in providing nutritious food menus for toddlers through education.

Abstract

Kurangnya pemberian stimulais pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada balita khususnya dalam pengenalan jenis makanan maupun menu makanan seringkali menjadi salah satu kendala dalam pemenuhan nutrisi pada balita bahkan berakibat gangguan gizi maupun masalah kesehatan lainnya. PMT penyuluhan menjadi alternatif untuk melengkapi nutrisi balita melalui pemberian snack sehat, akan tetapi paradigma masyarakat tentang snack yang salah menjadikan perilaku makan balita menjadi buruk bahkan sering mengalami piggy eater. Edukasi ini memberikan pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam menyajikan menu makanan sehat berbasis kearifan lokal dengan menggunakan bahan makanan komoditi utama wilayah pati yaitu ikan bandeng. Sasaran kegiatan ini 20 ibu balita dan balita di Desa Langenharjo, Pati. Tahap awal pre test/afirmasi tingkat pengetahuan responden, dilanjutkan pendidikan kesehatan tentan menu balita sehat, pelatihan pembuatan camilan sehat dari ikan bandeng serta pembagian PMT hasil dari pelatihan pada peserta.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Keberhasilan masa laktasi sangat dipengaruhi oleh kelancaran pada saat postpartum, dimana dipengaruhi oleh pengetahuan dan perilaku hidup sehat terutama dalam perawatan payudara sehingga dapat meminimalis masalah pada masa laktasi yang dapat meningkatkan cakupan ASI eksklusif dan kesejahteraan ibu dan bayi. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan edukasi tentang perawatan payudara sehingga meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pada ibu nifas. Metode yang dilakukan berupa ceramah, diskusi dan praktik perawatan payudara pada ibu postpartum. Hasil edukasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dibuktikan melalui pre dan post test perawatan payudara pada ibu postpartum. Kesimpulan bahwa edukasi perawatan payudara pada ibu postpartum dapat meningkatkan pemahaman sehingga dapat meminimalis kegagalan laktasi yang diharapkan edukasi dapat diberikan secara berkesinambungan.  Kata Kunci: Kesehatan, Nifas, Payudara, Perawatan, Reproduksi,   ABSTRACT The success of the lactation period is greatly influenced by the smoothness of the postpartum period, which is influenced by knowledge and healthy living behavior, especially in breast care so that problems can be minimized during the lactation period which can increase exclusive breastfeeding coverage and the welfare of mother and baby. The aim of this activity is to provide education about breast care so as to increase the knowledge and skills of postpartum mothers. The methods used include lectures, discussions and breast care practices for postpartum mothers. The results of the education show an increase in knowledge and skills as evidenced through pre and post tests on breast care for postpartum mothers. The conclusion is that breast care education for postpartum mothers can increase understanding so as to minimize lactation failure. Abstract

Background: Hand hygiene plays a crucial role in preventing the spread of infections, making effective hand sanitizers essential. However, concerns about skin irritation and microbial resistance associated with synthetic ingredients have increased the demand for natural, plant-based alternatives. This study aimed to formulate and evaluate plant-based hand sanitizers containing ethanol, lemongrass essential oil, and aloe vera gel for their organoleptic properties, pH, and antibacterial activity. Methods: The prepared formulations exhibited acceptable organoleptic characteristics, with variations in odor and texture based on essential oil and aloe vera concentrations. Results: The pH values of all formulations were within the skin-friendly range, ensuring safe application. Antibacterial testing against Escherichia coli demonstrated that formulations with higher ethanol and lemongrass oil concentrations exhibited the largest inhibition zone (13,67±0,58 mm), while aloe vera contributed to skin-conditioning properties. Although the formulations were effective, none surpassed the inhibition zone of the positive control. Conclusion: This study suggests that the prepared natural hand sanitizer gel with Aloe vera and lemongrass essential oil can be a potential alternative to enhance the antibacterial efficacy of hand sanitizers while maintaining user comfort.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengendalian penyakit berbasis kemandirian masyarakat dapat dimulai dengan mencuci tangan sebagai upaya dasar untuk memutus rantai penyakit. Salah satunya menggunakan hand sanitizer yang memberikan kemudahan, efesiensi kepada penggunanya, bahkan dengan pemanfaatan tanaman pekarangan sebagai bahan dasar pembuatannya. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan tentang mencuci tangan menggunakan hand sanitizer aloe vera. Metode yang dilakukan pre dan test untuk mengetahui pemahaman respoden dilanjutkan pemparanan materi, diskusi dan praktik pembuatan hand sanitizer aloe vera. Hasil edukasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dibuktikan melalui pre dan post test mencuci tangan menggunakan hand sanitizer aloe vera. Kesimpulanbahwa edukasi dan pelatihan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan WUS untuk memanfaatkan aloe vera sebagai hand sanitizer serta cara penggunaannya sehingga diharapkan WUS mampu meningkatkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat sehingga keluarga lebih sejahtera.  Kata Kunci: Aloe Vera, Hand Sanitizer, Mencuci Tangan, Personal Hygiene  ABSTRACT Community-based disease control can begin with hand washing as a basic measure to break the chain of disease transmission. One such measure is the use of hand sanitizer, which offers convenience and efficiency to users, even when utilizing backyard plants as the primary ingredient in its production. The objective of this activity is to provide education and training on hand washing using aloe vera hand sanitizer. The method involved pre- and post-tests to assess respondents' understanding, followed by a presentation of the material, discussion, and practical demonstration of making aloe vera hand sanitizer. The results obtained are that the educational outcomes showed an increase in knowledge and skills, as evidenced by pre- and post-tests on handwashing using aloe vera hand sanitizer. The conclusion is that education and training enhance the knowledge and skills of WUS in utilizing aloe vera as hand sanitizer and its proper use, thereby enabling WUS to improve clean and healthy living behaviors, leading to greater family well-being. Keywords: Aloe Vera, Hand Sanitizer, Hand Wash, Personal Hygiene
