Abstract

According to Ibn Khaldun, a great thinker in the social and economic fields. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive analytical approach. In this study, the author examines the main concepts in Ibn Khaldun's thoughts related to the distribution of wealth, such as the theory of "asbab" (cause and effect), "umran" (civilization), and "al-'amal" (work) in economics. This study also explores Ibn Khaldun's views on the role of the state, society, and factors that influence the inequality of wealth distribution in society. The results of the study indicate that Ibn Khaldun identified economic inequality as a result of social injustice and structural factors in society. In addition, Ibn Khaldun emphasized the importance of equitable distribution of wealth to achieve the welfare of society as a whole. This study contributes to understanding the concept of wealth distribution within the framework of Islamic economics, as well as its relevance in dealing with contemporary economic and social problems. This study aims to analyze the distribution of wealth from an Islamic economic perspective.

Abstract

Islamic economics is an economic system based on Islamic principles, integrating spiritual values and ethics into economic activities. This paper aims to examine the fundamental philosophy of Islamic economic thought, focusing on the relationship between spiritual values and principles of justice in Islamic economics. In Islamic economic thought, prosperity is not only viewed as the achievement of material gain, but also as an effort to realize social justice, balance, and sustainable prosperity. The spiritual values in Islamic economics emphasize sincere intentions (ikhlas) in every transaction, while the principle of justice is applied through the prohibition of usury (riba), uncertainty (gharar), and speculation (maysir), as well as the implementation of wealth redistribution through zakat, waqf, and infak. Moreover, Islamic economics also emphasizes the importance of social responsibility and solidarity among individuals to create a just and prosperous society. By integrating moral and spiritual aspects in economic management, Islamic economics offers an alternative economic system that is more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable, providing solutions to the challenges faced by the global conventional economic system.
