Abstract

Advising is the process where students communicate about issues that may arise during their study period. However, it is often hindered by the busy schedules and different timetables between students and their academic advisors. Therefore, a system has been developed to facilitate the advising process using the Android platform. This research adopts the Research and Development (R&D) methodology, specifically using the waterfall development model. Data collection techniques include interviews and questionnaires. The application is tested based on the ISO/IEC 25010 quality standards, covering four aspects: functional suitability, performance efficiency, usability, and portability. The functional suitability testing involved two expert professors, and 24 features were tested, indicating that the application is "Suitable" for use. Portability testing on the application was conducted by observing the output on three Android versions: Nougat, Red Velvet Cake, and Tiramisu. The results showed that the application can run on all three Android versions. Performance efficiency testing utilized the Android Profiler tool to assess CPU, memory, and network usage while running the application. The findings revealed that CPU usage was less than 50%, memory allocation was 122.2 MB, and network usage was less than 48 KB/s. Usability testing conducted by students resulted in a test score of 81.6%, categorized as "Very Good" feasibility.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop an Android-based Village information system in Loka Village, Jeneponto Regency and to determine the results of testing the Android-based Village information system in Loka Village, Jeneponto Regency based on the ISO 25010 software standard.This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) type of research and the waterfall development model. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation and questionnaires. This system was tested using ISO 25010 software quality standards that focus on four aspects, namely functional suitability, portability, usability, and performance efficiency. Functional suitability testing was carried out by two expert lecturers by filling out a questionnaire containing 13 questions regarding the functions designed in the system being developed, it was found thatthis application was feasible to use and worthy of being accepted. Portability testing was carried out by observing the output results produced using Android smartphones in various versions, the results obtained showed that this village information system application ran well on several versions of Android. The results of the usability aspect test used a questionnaire given to 13 respondents with 15 questions and obtained a percentage value of 90.12% with a very feasible category. Performance efficiency testing was carried out using APPTIM by measuring real-time data for the CPU used, which was 137%, 233 Mb memory when the application was used. The results of the study show that the Android-based village information system application developed in Loka Village, Jeneponto Regency, has met the characteristics of ISO 25010 quality standards. This application canbe used by village officials and the Loka Village community to support the management of village information and services more efficiently andeffectively.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance students’ abilities in utilizing educational technology through training on the use of the Canva application. The program was conducted at SMP Negeri 51 Makassar, located in Tamangapa District, Makassar City. Preliminary observations indicated that most students were not yet familiar with using digital design applications as learning media, particularly in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) subject. The implementation method consisted of five stages: planning, socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The activity involved 30 students who were trained to create posters, infographics, and learning presentations using Canva. The results showed significant improvement in students’ digital skills, with 90% of participants successfully producing their own learning media designs. In addition, teachers gained new insights into the use of design-based educational technology. This PKM activity had a positive impact on improving students’ digital literacy, creativity, and learning motivation, while also strengthening collaboration between Universitas Negeri Makassar and SMP Negeri 51 Makassar in promoting technology-based learning in the digital era.
