Abstract

A B S T R A K Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Islam Negeri Sumatera Utara terhadap akun Instagram resmi kampus, @uinsu_official, dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei deskriptif yang melibatkan 20 mahasiswa semester 7 sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap akun tersebut, terutama dalam aspek aksesibilitas dan relevansi informasi, dengan skor rata-rata berada pada kategori baik hingga sangat baik. Namun, beberapa aspek seperti kelengkapan informasi, daya tarik konten, dan kecepatan penyampaian informasi memerlukan peningkatan. Temuan ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengelola akun untuk lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan mahasiswa dengan memperbaiki kualitas konten dan mempercepat publikasi informasi mendesak. A B S T R A C T This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Communication Science students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra regarding the university's official Instagram account, @uinsu_official, in fulfilling their information needs. The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive survey approach involving 20 seventh-semester students as respondents. The findings reveal that students have a positive perception of the account, particularly in terms of accessibility and information relevance, with average scores categorized as good to excellent. However, aspects such as information completeness, content attractiveness, and information delivery speed require improvement. These findings provide recommendations for account managers to be more responsive to student needs by enhancing content quality and expediting the dissemination of urgent information.

Abstract

Social media has become an essential part of daily activities, such as reading news, conducting buying and selling transactions, and various other activities. This has encouraged companies to have social media accounts to provide the latest information to the public. PT Railink has also adopted a similar strategy by utilizing its Instagram account, @kabandararailink, as a platform for disseminating information to the public. The presence of this account facilitates public access to the latest updates uploaded by the company. In this study, the author conducted observations and interviews to analyze the role of public relations as a publicity medium through PT Railink's Instagram account. The research method used is qualitative descriptive, aiming to understand how social media impacts companies, particularly PT Railink. The findings indicate that social media significantly influences the company, fostering reciprocal interaction between the public and the company. This study also highlights how PT Railink utilizes its Instagram account as a communication medium with the public. Instagram was chosen as the primary platform because it is one of the most frequently accessed social media platforms by the public and serves as a source of essential travel information, including travel requirements and departure schedules. This makes Instagram an effective tool for providing the public with the information they need.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the function of demonstrative pronouns and the deictic function of demonstrative pronouns found in the Qur'an. The method used in conducting this research is a qualitative-descriptive method with data collection techniques in the form of library studies from various literature, such as books, journals, and articles. By using the theory of deictic classification from Stephen Levinson (1983) as the main theory, the researcher intends to categorize and explain several demonstrative pronouns found in the Qur'an into several types of deixis based on their function. The researcher found that the demonstrative pronouns found in the Qur'an have 17 word forms. In addition, the demonstrative pronouns found only have the functions of personal deixis, discourse deixis, and spatial deixis.
