Abstract

Modern markets have an impact on changes in profit levels in traditional markets in an area, although they do not have an impact on changes in turnover and the number of people working in traditional markets. The Service Team took the initiative to create a bazaar activity for MSMEs in Talang Padang, Tanggamus Regency with a strategy of providing free bazaar stands for 7 bazaar days. It is hoped that this activity can revive the market which was sluggish after the renovation and can provide space for micro, small and medium businesses to promote their superior products directly to the public.

Abstract

Regional economic inequality in Indonesia is still a major challenge in national development. This study is purposed to analyze the effect of investment, economic growth, road infrastructure, and democracy on regional economic inequality in Indonesia during the period 2018-2023. The data used is secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) which is processed using panel data regression with FEM approach. The output showed that the variables of investment, economic growth, road infrastructure, and democracy partially had a significant effect on regional economic inequality. Simultaneously, the variables of investment, economic growth, road infrastructure, and democracy have a significant effect on regional economic inequality in Indonesia. The of 0.989608 indicates that 98.96 percent of the variation in regional economic inequality can be explained by the independent variables in the model, while the 1.04 percent is influenced by other factors. Based on these results, strategic efforts are needed in the form of equitable investment between regions, strengthening fiscal decentralization, accelerating road infrastructure development in underdeveloped regions, and improving the governance and quality of regional public services.

Abstract

Interregional development inequality remains an important issue in national development planning, especially in developing countries like Indonesia. Imbalances in fiscal capacity, resource access, and infrastructure between provinces lead to marked differences in development levels. This study analyzes the effect of Balancing Fund (DP), Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK), and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) on development inequality using the Jaime Bonet Index. The data used is panel data from all provinces in Indonesia during 2014-2023, analyzed using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) method. The results show that DP and FDI have a negative and significant effect, while TPAK is not significant. The findings emphasize the need to optimize DP and increase foreign investment to promote equitable and inclusive development.

Abstract

This study examines factors influencing income inequality in Indonesia and tests the Kuznets Hypothesis from 2004 to 2023 using panel data from 33 provinces. The analysis applies the Fixed Effect Model (FEM), chosen through Chow and Hausman tests, while checking for classical assumptions like normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Key variables include Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), its square to test the Kuznets Hypothesis, Human Development Index (HDI), Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), and Poverty Rate (PR). Results show that GRDP positively affects inequality, while its square negatively impacts it, supporting the inverted U-curve theory. HDI reduces inequality, whereas GFCF increases it, suggesting investment concentration widens the gap. OUR and PR both decrease inequality, indicating more equal income distribution in areas with lower welfare. The study highlights the need for inclusive growth, equitable human development, and fair investment distribution to reduce inequality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of information and communication technology skills, access to information and communication technology (ICT access), and investment in BTS tower construction infrastructure on labor productivity in Indonesia during the period 2017 to 2023. The data used in the form of data panels from 34 provinces in Indonesia were analyzed using the panel data regression method. The results of the study show that ICT access and investment in BTS tower construction have a positive and significant effect on labor productivity. However, ICT skills do not show a statistically significant influence. The independent variables together are able to explain 99% of the changes in labor productivity in Indonesia. These findings affirm the importance of developing infrastructure and equitable access to ICT as the key to increasing productivity, as well as the need to improve the quality of education and training to strengthen the digital skills of the workforce. This research provides policy recommendations to accelerate the development of digital infrastructure and ICT capability improvement programs to support national productivity growth

Abstract

This study aims to find out the extent to which economic, social and political factors affect the level of happiness of people in Indonesia. In this study, economic factors are represented by GDP and unemployment rates, social factors are represented by average school age and political factors are represented by democracy levels. Using panel data from 34 provinces in 2014, 2017, and 2021, using a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results of the analysis showed that the variables of GDP and unemployment rate had a significant negative relationship with the happiness index. On the other hand, the average length of school shows a negative positive impact. Meanwhile, the level of democracy does not show a statistically significant influence. This model has an R-squared value of 0.740 which indicates that almost 74% of the variation in the happiness index can be explained by the variables in the model. These findings emphasize the importance of inclusive economic growth, reducing the unemployment rate, and equitable access to education in an effort to improve the subjective welfare of people in Indonesia.

Abstract

Poverty remains a major challenge in the economic development process in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to explore more deeply the influence of unemployment and education on the condition of the poor in Indonesia, focusing on the ten provinces that recorded the lowest poverty rates during President Joko Widodo's leadership. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with panel data covering the period from 2015 to 2024. The Random Effect Model (REM), which was selected based on the results of the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests, was used to perform the analysis with multiple linear regression. The findings of this study show that individually, the variable Open unemployment rate affects poverty positively and significantly, while the education variable affects poverty negatively and significantly. Overall, these two variables have a considerable effect on chemistry. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing policies that focus on effective means of reducing poverty in Indonesia to improve the quality of education and create jobs.
