Abstract

The problem of poverty is still a homework that has not been resolved by the government. Various efforts have been made, one of which is through the Family Hope Program (PKH), which is a conditional cash assistance for beneficiaries. It is said to be conditional because recipients must access education and health services using the grant funds received. However, based on information obtained from the companion, it is known that the recipients did not fully use the aid money according to its designation. This happens for various reasons, one of which is minimal income so they have to look for other sources to meet their daily needs. Therefore, this dedication is intended to provide an understanding of how to manage family finances so that whatever income is earned can be sufficient to meet life's needs, not a lifestyle. This dedication method is carried out with lectures, discussions and brainstorming with participants. The result of this service is that participants gain additional knowledge about budget planning, budget control, and distinguishing between needs and wants.

Abstract

This study examines the dilemma of rice import policy in Indonesia within the context of international trade and food security challenges. Rice, as a strategic commodity, holds significant social, economic, and political value, making import policies highly influential on price stability, farmers’ welfare, and national food security. The research identifies that import policies are often misaligned with domestic needs due to weak inter-institutional coordination, data inaccuracies, and pressures from political and business interests. As a result, import policies frequently create imbalances between the interests of consumers, traders, and local farmers, while also reducing the competitiveness of domestic rice due to inefficiencies in the distribution chain and post-harvest infrastructure. This study emphasizes the importance of data-based, transparent, and farmer-protective governance of rice import policies to strengthen national food security amid global trade liberalization pressures. hain, trade liberalization.

Abstract

Tempe artisans in Teluk Betung District, Bandar Lampung City play an important role in providing soybean-based food products. However, the marketing of their products is still conducted conventionally, relying on traditional markets and simple promotional methods, which limits market reach and reduces product competitiveness. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of tempe artisans in implementing effective marketing strategies, particularly through digital platforms and product packaging development. The methods used included interactive lectures, group discussions, social media simulations, and practical sessions on designing product labels using simple applications. The workshop results showed that most participants successfully created business social media accounts, designed product labels, and understood the importance of attractive packaging in increasing product value. This activity is expected to serve as a stimulus for developing tempe product marketing in Teluk Betung and surrounding areas.

Abstract

Dams are crucial infrastructure for water resource management, serving as irrigation, flood control, raw water supply, energy, and food production. Systematically, dams can expand irrigated areas, enabling two to three planting seasons, and improving water availability throughout the seasons. East Java is a province with significant contributions to national GRDP through the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors, particularly in food-producing districts. This study aims to evaluate the impact of the dams inaugurated in 2021 on the contribution of agricultural GRDP in each district in East Java Province. The results demonstrate that dams are effective in increasing GRDP growth in the agricultural sector of districts in East Java Province. Based on the regression results usingDifferent in Different(DiD) shows that the average GRDP growth in the agricultural sector of regencies in East Java province is higher by 0.011 percent compared to regencies without dams.
