Abstract

Background: Depression is the most common psychological condition among patients with coronary heart disease (CHD). Although psychoeducational programs (PEPs) based on the Transtheoretical Model (TTM) have shown promise for psychiatric patients, their application among individuals with medical conditions, particularly cardiovascular disease, remains limited—especially in Indonesia. Purpose: This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of a TTM-based PEP intervention in reducing depression among CHD patients. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 80 CHD patients hospitalized in the coronary care unit (CCU) of a private hospital in West Java, Indonesia, in 2022. Participants in the intervention group attended seven sessions, each lasting 60 to 90 minutes. Depression symptoms were measured using the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS). An ANOVA was performed to compare pre- and post-intervention mean HDRS scores and subscale scores between the two groups. After accounting for attrition, the final analysis included data from 76 patients. Results: The participants had a mean age of 59.39 years (SD = 11.10) and a mean disease duration of 4.05 years (SD = 1.69). A paired t-test showed a significant reduction in the mean HDRS score of the intervention group, from 13.79 ± 2.84 pre-intervention to 10.16 ± 2.16 post-intervention (p < 0.0001). Most HDRS subscale scores also decreased significantly, except for insomnia, somatic/genital symptoms, and weight loss. ANCOVA confirmed significant differences between the two groups in overall HDRS scores. Conclusions: The findings suggest that TTM-based PEP is effective in reducing depression among CHD patients. Incorporating such programs alongside standard treatments is recommended for enhanced patient outcomes.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia not only aims to improve academic abilities but also to shape the character and morals of students in accordance with Islamic teachings, as the majority of the population. One relevant approach is the integration of Islamic values ​​in subjects, including mathematics, to achieve holistic educational goals. At MAN 3 West Pasaman, this integration has been implemented with the hope of enriching mathematics learning with Islamic values ​​that are relevant in everyday life. This research aims to explore teachers' perceptions of mathematics questions that are integrated with Islamic values ​​at MAN 3 West Pasaman. Qualitative research methods with a case study approach were used to understand the views, experiences and understanding of teachers in implementing this approach. The subject of this research were two mathematics teachers at MAN 3 Pasaman Barat. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The research results show that the majority of mathematics teachers at MAN 3 West Pasaman welcome the integration of Islamic values ​​in mathematics problems. They believe that this approach not only increases students' interest and motivation but also helps build their character in accordance with Islamic teachings. However, implementation faces challenges such as lack of resources and supporting teaching materials, limited training, and limited time in the curriculum. Recommendations from this research include the need to develop comprehensive training for teachers, provide relevant resources and teaching materials, as well as flexibility in the curriculum to support the integration of Islamic values ​​without sacrificing required academic material. By understanding these perceptions and challenges, it is hoped that effective strategies can be developed to improve the quality of mathematics learning that focuses on students' cognitive, affective and spiritual aspects in accordance with Islamic values

Abstract

Batubara dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber pembangkit listrik tenaga batu bara (PLTU) melalui pembakaran yang menghasilkan limbah fly ash. Fly ash mengandung berbagai bahan kimia seperti SiO2 ; Al2O3 ; Fe2O3 . Kandungan kimia yang potensial tersebut menjadikan fly ash dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai adsorben logam berat dan zat warna dengan membentuk silika xerogel. Untuk meningkatkan kadar silika oksida pada fly ash dilakukan proses pencucian dengan berbagai pelarut. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah pencucian dengan HNO3 sebesar 55,424%, sedangkan kadar SiO2 pada fly ash setelah pencucian dengan NaOH hanya sebesar 45,551%. Namun kedua hasil tersebut masih berada di bawah kadar SiO2 pada fly ash setelah pencucian dengan HCl pada penelitian sebelumnya yaitu sebesar 56,777%. Netralisasi natrium silikat dengan HCl 3M menghasilkan %yield sebesar 24%; HCl 5M menghasilkan %yield sebesar 68,4%; dan konsentrasi HCl 7M menghasilkan %yield sebesar 80,8%. dengan kadar SiO2 tertinggi pada saat menggunakan HCl 3M mencapai 40,41%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pada mahasiswa rantau menghadapi beragam tantangan, mulai dari tekanan akademik, penyesuaian budaya, hingga kesepian akibat jauh dari keluarga, yang dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan psikologis. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya kemampuan resiliensi agar mampu bangkit dari kesulitan, serta self-compassion sebagai faktor yang berperan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan resiliensi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan antara tingkat resiliensi berdasarkan self-compassion (tinggi, sedang, rendah) pada mahasiswa rantau. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Padang yang berjumlah 1.623 mahasiswa, dengan sampel sebanyak 321 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket Resiliensi dan angket Self-Compassion yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, dengan analisis data menggunakan uji beda (One Way Anova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan (F= 64.204, p < 0,000). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara resiliensi ditinjau dari self-compassion. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa self-compassion berperan penting dalam meningkatkan resiliensi mahasiswa rantau, sehingga pengembangan sikap penuh kasih pada diri sendiri dapat dijadikan strategi dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan akademik maupun personal.
