Abstract

This study explores the integration of Stoic philosophy into guidance and counseling practices, specifically focusing on its application in managing stress among adolescents. It examines the philosophical underpinnings of guidance and counseling through the lenses of ontology, epistemology, and axiology, highlighting their interconnectedness in shaping the practice. The research utilizes a qualitative descriptive approach, employing a literature review methodology to analyze relevant scholarly works and texts. The study reveals that Stoic philosophy, with its emphasis on self-control, acceptance, and focusing on what is within one's control, offers a valuable framework for addressing stress. The core principles of Stoicism, particularly the "dichotomy of control," are presented as a practical tool for counselors to guide adolescents in navigating stressful situations. The study concludes that incorporating Stoic philosophy into guidance and counseling practices can empower adolescents to develop resilience, manage emotions effectively, and cultivate a more balanced and fulfilling life. The findings suggest that Stoicism's emphasis on self-awareness, rational thinking, and acceptance can serve as a valuable intervention strategy for counselors working with adolescents experiencing stress.

Abstract

The first lesson given to children in Islamic education is learning about the Koran. By introducing the Qur'an from an early age, Qur'anic values will be ingrained and make people with character. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Iqra' method in learning to read the Koran in early childhood. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods to obtain broad and in-depth information related to the research objectives. The data sources in this research were the principal, class teachers, students and parents of the students at Sabbihisma 2 Padang Kindergarten. The research results show that the Iqra' method learning planning is not explained in detail in the form of a lesson plan. The teacher teaches it according to the teaching instructions in the Iqra' book. The Iqra' method learning is carried out privately, students are called one by one to come forward to read Iqra'. Students are required to be active in reading, while the teacher guides and directs the learning process. Evaluation of Iqra' method learning is carried out during Iqra' learning by the teacher and EBTA at the end of each volume of Iqra' is carried out by the school principal. Supporting factors for learning Iqra' are providing motivation to students, the role of parents who support learning Iqra' or the Koran at home, conveying the Iqra' method to parents of students, and teacher training. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are students' low memory capacity, students who are unable to concentrate, and lack of repetition of Iqra' or Al-Qur'an reading at home.

Abstract

Penerimaan Diri memberikan kemampuan kepada individu remaja yang sekarang ini merupakan generasi Z untuk dapat menghargai kelebihan maupun kekurangan dirinya. Pada era digitalisasi peranan media sosial dapat memberikan dampak pada penerimaan diri individu. Keluwesan akses dunia maya memberikan dampak terhadap melakukan perbandingan diri sendiri dengan orang lain yang berdampak pada penerimaan diri. Tujuan dan sasaran penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penerimaan diri. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan pendekatan deskriptif. Adapun populasi penelitian ini merupakan siswa kelas X dan XI SMAN 7 Padang. Teknik Sampling yang dipakai yaitu startified random Sampling. Setelah dilaksanakan penarikan sampel, sampel penelitian berjumlah 273 orang siswa. Penghimpunan data dilakukan melalui skala self-acceptance dengan model likert, lalu di deskripsikan. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan secara keseluruhan penerimaan diri berada pada kategori baik
