Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan program psikoedukasi tentang literasi kesehatan mental bagi siswa Generasi Z di SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta. Generasi Z, yang tumbuh di era digital, seringkali menghadapi tantangan psikologis seperti tekanan akademik, stres, dan paparan media sosial yang dapat berdampak pada kesehatan mental mereka. Program psikoedukasi ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan mental, mengenali gejala awal gangguan mental, serta memberikan keterampilan dasar dalam mengelola stres dan emosi. Pengabdian menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Sebanyak 59 siswa dari kelas XI dipilih sebagai partisipan, dan mereka diberikan intervensi berupa serangkaian materi dan kegiatan yang melibatkan diskusi, simulasi, dan praktik keterampilan psikologis. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam tingkat literasi kesehatan mental pada siswa setelah mengikuti program psikoedukasi, yang terlihat dari peningkatan skor post-test dibandingkan pre-test. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model intervensi yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah lain untuk meningkatkan kesadaran kesehatan mental di kalangan remaja, sehingga mereka dapat lebih proaktif dalam menjaga kesejahteraan psikologis mereka.

Abstract

The intensive use of social media among individuals in early adulthood has the potential to cause negative psychological effects, one of which is brainrot. Brainrot refers to a condition characterized by cognitive fatigue, concentration difficulties, and passive overexposure to digital content. Happiness is suspected to play an important role in reducing such tendencies. This study aims to examine the relationship between happiness and the level of brainrot among early adults. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. A total of 196 participants aged 20 to 30 years who actively use social media were involved. Data were collected using a happiness scale and a brainrot scale developed by the researcher. The data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation test. The results showed a significant negative correlation between happiness and brainrot (r = -0.176; p = 0.014), indicating that individuals with higher levels of happiness tend to experience lower levels of brainrot

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at TBM Rumah Baca Bintang, located in Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The program aimed to improve the facilitators’ ability to apply photography and videography technology in documenting and promoting literacy activities through digital media. The main problems faced by the partners included limited human resources in digital management, lack of technical skills, and minimal documentation and publication of literacy activities. The method combined training and mentoring, consisting of three stages: material delivery, technical practice, and mentoring on the results. The materials were presented through a training module that included topics on mobile photography equipment, pre-production and content planning, shooting techniques, and basic editing for social media publication. The pretest and post-test results showed an increase in participants’ understanding and skills, with all facilitators achieving a perfect score after the program. The participants were able to create and manage digital documentation independently using mobile devices. This activity successfully strengthened the digital literacy capacity of TBM Rumah Baca Bintang’s facilitators and encouraged the sustainability of literacy programs through creative and contextual digital media utilization.
