Abstract

Nursing care service standards cannot be separated from the nursing process, which is the main task of nurses in providing nursing care. This process starts from assessment, establishing a nursing diagnosis, preparing a nursing care plan, implementing and evaluating the success of the care provided. The services provided by the nursing profession are providing nursing services. The SDKI is a diagnostic standard that can be used in nursing clinical decision making based on ease of use, clarity of diagnostic reasoning and completeness of the types of diagnoses available as well as language standards. One of the main factors influencing the implementation of nursing documentation based on SDKI, SIKI, and SLKI is knowledge nurse in Nurhayati Garut Hospital

Abstract

Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of death among women in Indonesia and continues to show an increasing incidence rate each year. Breast Self-Examination (SADARI) is a simple yet effective early detection method to identify abnormalities in the breast. The low level of knowledge and awareness among women of reproductive age regarding the importance of SADARI contributes to delayed diagnosis. This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge of women of reproductive age, particularly Posyandu cadres, through health education on SADARI in Jayaraga Village, Tarogong Kidul Subdistrict, Garut. The counseling was conducted through presentations, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational leaflets. Evaluation results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of the importance of early breast cancer detection through SADARI. Therefore, this initiative is expected to serve as a sustainable preventive effort to reduce breast cancer incidence in the community.

Both physical and mental health conditions are very influential on the health conditions of students so it is very important that teachers' health is checked regularly. The purpose of implementing this community service activity is to explore teacher health information. The implementation method used is by measuring blood pressure, saturation and body temperature and conducting health counseling with lectures and discussions. The results obtained showed that most of the teachers' blood pressure was normal, oxygen saturation was normal and body temperature was normal. The conclusion of this activity is that the health condition status of teachers in MI 2 is normal and healthy.

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is a serious problem that affects children's physical, psychological, and social development. Young children are highly vulnerable to sexual violence due to their limited knowledge and ability to protect themselves. Therefore, early reproductive health education is an important preventive measure. This community service activity aims to provide reproductive health education to early childhood as an effort to prevent sexual violence at MI 2 Alkhoiriyah Garut. The methods of implementation include the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The preparation stage is carried out through initial observation, coordination with the school, and the preparation of materials tailored to the child's development. The implementation stage was carried out using interactive lectures, educational games, picture stories, and simple simulations. The materials presented included an introduction to body parts, private body parts, gender differences, maintaining personal hygiene, and how to refuse inappropriate touching. Evaluation was carried out through observation and question and answer sessions. The results of the activity showed an increase in children's understanding and awareness of reproductive health and self-protection. Children became more courageous in expressing their opinions and understood the importance of taking care of their bodies. This activity also increased teachers' awareness of the importance of reproductive health education as an effort to prevent sexual violence in schools.

Abstract

The issue of plastic waste has become an urgent environmental problem in Indonesia, including on the campus of STIKes Karsa Husada Garut. Plastic waste, which is difficult to decompose, can pollute the environment and pose health risks. To address this problem, a waste management education program based on the 3R principle (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) was implemented with the aim of increasing knowledge, shaping environmentally friendly behavior, and encouraging creative waste management practices. The implementation method includes preparation, education through interactive lectures and workshops, field practice with the creation of separate waste bins, the making of ecobricks, and creative products from plastic waste, as well as monitoring and evaluation of the program's success. The results of the activities show an increase in participants' knowledge of 35-40%, behavioral changes such as reduced use of plastic bags and disposable bottles, and the development of creative products from plastic waste. Program evaluation confirms the effectiveness of participatory methods and hands-on practices in building awareness and internalizing sustainability values. This program also has implications for the formation of an environmentally friendly culture on campus, which can serve as a model for other educational institutions. Thus, 3R-based education not only reduces the negative impact of plastic waste but also fosters environmentally conscious students who are able to apply sustainability principles in their daily lives.

Abstract

The issue of waste remains a serious environmental problem at the global, national, and local levels. Population growth, changes in consumption patterns, and increasingly practical lifestyles have led to a steady increase in the volume of waste over time. The objectives of this study are: To identify and analyze waste management efforts through the application of the 3R concept (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) at STIKes Karsa Husada Garut as a form of support for creating a clean, healthy, and environmentally conscious campus environment. This study was conducted using qualitative research methods by observing and collecting information about the research object. The study was conducted by observing and analyzing the behavior of people in the environment of STIKes Karsa Husada Garut. The study analyzed the effectiveness and suitability of waste separation. Based on our observations, we can conclude that waste management through the process of separating organic and inorganic waste is very important to address environmental, health, and economic issues related to waste. Although waste management efforts are carried out at STIKes KHG, observations show that its implementation is still poor. The STIKES KHG community must be educated about disposing of waste according to its type. Waste management is beneficial for reducing the impact of environmental pollution and supporting the waste management system. Our discussion also shows the importance of applying the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept in everyday life to reduce the amount of waste produced. The process of recycling waste into various products has economic and environmental benefits. The importance of waste management is also reflected in the objectives of waste management in mathematics and natural sciences. However, the report shows that students' understanding and awareness of waste sorting needs to be improved to achieve good waste management. In addition, we also show the benefits of waste management in reducing the use of natural resources and preserving the environment.
