Abstract

Investment is a crucial foundation in financial management that opens opportunities to achieve long-term financial goals. One mutual fund investment platform at a PT is innovating to create a platform tailored to the needs of Generation Z users. However, the platform is currently still under improvement and/or renewal due to functional deficiencies such as the frontend and backend display, as well as the lack of an investment simulation feature that allows investors to predict mutual fund investments. This research focuses on adding an investment simulation feature using a Machine Learning algorithm that can automate the detection of trends and seasonality in mutual fund products. The method used in the website development is the Agile method in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). In conducting this research, an analysis of the platform's weaknesses and deficiencies was carried out to compare the website platform to be developed with another platform. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, the development of the platform's functionality and the addition of features were made, namely, updating the latest display on each page and the investment simulation feature. This research uses the PHP programming language and the Laravel framework as well as Firebase as its database. The programming implementation results in a platform that can predict mutual fund product simulations that can be used by investors, thus easily attracting Generation Z to invest in the website platform.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has provided solutions to various operational challenges in the shipping industry, particularly in daily reporting systems that are still performed manually using spreadsheets. PT. LSM currently faces inefficiencies, data inaccuracy, and lack of real-time access in reporting vessel daily activities. To address these issues, this study aims to design and implement a Web-Based Vessel Daily Report Information System using PHP (Laravel Framework) and MySQL as the database. The research adopts the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, which consists of planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. Data were collected through observation, interviews with company staff, and literature study. The system was designed with features such as vessel daily report management, vessel data management, inventory management, user management and automated report generation in PDF/CSV formats. The testing results, which include structural, functional and validation tests, show that the system operates in accordance with its design and successfully resolves the problems of the previous manual reporting process. The system enables real-time, accurate, and secure reporting that supports both operational monitoring and accounting-related decision-making. In conclusion, the developed system significantly improves the efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness of vessel daily reporting processes at PT. LSM. For future development, the system can be enhanced with additional features such as online crew attendance and ship requisition modules to further strengthen operational and accounting integration.

Abstract

This study evaluated the Alumni Information Management System (AIMS) developed to enhance alumni tracking, career services, and institutional engagement, utilizing the ISO/IEC 25010:2015 software quality model. The evaluation focused on key characteristics: functionality, usability, reliability, performance efficiency, security, maintainability, and portability, to assess the system's effectiveness. An Iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) was employed during the development phase, allowing for incremental improvements and incorporating user feedback. Evaluation was conducted using a researcher-designed instrument aligned with the ISO/IEC 25010:2015 standard. The results indicate that the AIMS received a "Very High" rating across all evaluated characteristics, with an overall mean of 4.68, signifying strong user satisfaction and system efficacy. This study highlights the AIMS’s strengths and provides insights for potential improvements, ensuring its continued effectiveness in supporting alumni relations and institutional goals.

Abstract

As public awareness continues to grow regarding the importance of zakat, infaq and sadaqah (ZIS) as tools for social and economic welfare in Indonesia, there is an increasing need for innovation in how these charitable contributions are managed. One promising solution is the development of a mobile application that uses chatbot technology to make the process of giving and managing ZIS more efficient, transparent and user friendly. This study focuses on designing and building such a mobile app, using the waterfall model for software development. The process includes defining requirements, designing the system, analyzing the features, implementing the chatbot, and testing the application. The app is built to provide an interactive experience that helps users easily perform ZIS-related transactions, while also offering personalized information based on their needs. Testing results show that the app successfully supports essential functions like user registration, zakat payment, and access to ZIS information. It was also tested for compatibility and UI stability begin with Android 10 (Q) and above. While earlier versions such as Android 8 and 9 pose risks related to SDK support and performance, versions Android 12 to 14 demonstrate optimal performance and system stability. Android 15, still in beta, shows positive early results but requires further testing due to its ongoing development and potential SDK changes on multiple devices to ensure performance across different platforms. The findings indicate that the app runs smoothly, is easy to use, and is accessible to the broader community. Overall, this research presents a meaningful contribution to the modernization of ZIS management in Indonesia by leveraging digital technology to better serve the public.

Abstract

This community service activity represents a collaborative effort between the College of Science and Technology, Guimaras State University, Philippines, and the Computer Science, Universitas Pakuan, Indonesia. The initiative was designed to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. The primary objective of this program was to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in Java programming, fostering digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities essential for personal and professional growth in an increasingly technology-driven world. The expected outputs of the activity included equipping participants with a solid understanding of Java basics, enabling them to create simple Java applications independently, use integrated development environments (IDEs) like Eclipse or NetBeans effectively, and develop enhanced problem-solving skills through programming exercises. Participants were also introduced to foundational object-oriented programming concepts such as classes, objects, inheritance, and polymorphism, culminating in the creation of a functional project that integrates key Java programming concepts. Additionally, teachers gained the confidence and skills to incorporate Java programming into their classrooms or workshops, ensuring the program's long-term impact. The program demonstrated significant outcomes, as evidenced by the data in Table 3, where the average participant understanding exceeded 90%. This notable achievement underscores the success of the initiative in promoting knowledge transfer and skill development. Furthermore, it highlights the effective collaboration between Guimaras State University and Universitas Pakuan in advancing the tri dharma of higher education: teaching, research, and community service while delivering tangible benefits to the community. This success encourages both institutions to continue fostering partnerships that contribute to sustainable development and societal well-being.
