Abstract

ABSTRACT Typhoid fever is a tropical disease that often attacks children, especially toddlers, and can cause problems with the digestive system and affect the level of consciousness. Adequate nutrition plays an important role in increasing the body's endurance, accelerating healing, and preventing complications and recurrence. Roy's adaptation model can support patients in responding adaptively. To evaluate the effectiveness of the application of the Roy adaptation model in overcoming nutritional balance disorders in children with typhoid fever. Case study of two pediatric patients with typhoid fever who experienced nutritional balance disorders. Nursing interventions are carried out using the Roy adaptation model approach. Both patients successfully adapted to nutritional balance disorders. Second management patients show faster adaptation and recovery than first treatment patients. Factors that influence the success of adaptation include the client's age, parental support, environmental temperature, stress level, and severity of illness. Conclusion: Application of the Roy adaptation model is effective in supporting the adaptation of pediatric patients with typhoid fever to nutritional balance disorders. The nurse's ability to manage stimuli that affect the patient's nutritional status plays an important role in increasing the patient's adaptive capacity. Keywords: Roy Adaptation, Nutritional Disorders, Gastrointestinal System, Typhoid Fever  ABSTRAK Demam tifoid merupakan penyakit tropis yang sering menyerang anak-anak, terutama balita, dan dapat menimbulkan gangguan pada sistem pencernaan serta mempengaruhi tingkat kesadaran. Nutrisi adekuat berperan penting dalam meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh, mempercepat penyembuhan, dan mencegah komplikasi serta kekambuhan. Model adaptasi Roy dapat mendukung pasien dalam merespon secara adaptif. Mengevaluasi efektivitas aplikasi model adaptasi Roy dalam mengatasi gangguan keseimbangan nutrisi pada anak dengan demam tifoid. Studi kasus pada dua pasien anak dengan demam tifoid yang mengalami gangguan keseimbangan nutrisi. Intervensi keperawatan dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan model adaptasi Roy. Kedua pasien berhasil beradaptasi terhadap gangguan keseimbangan nutrisi. Pasien kelolaan kedua menunjukkan adaptasi dan pemulihan yang lebih cepat dibandingkan pasien kelolaan pertama. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan adaptasi meliputi usia klien, dukungan orang tua, temperatur lingkungan, tingkat stres, dan tingkat keparahan penyakit. Aplikasi model adaptasi Roy efektif dalam mendukung adaptasi pasien anak dengan demam tifoid terhadap gangguan keseimbangan nutrisi. Kemampuan perawat dalam mengelola stimulus yang mempengaruhi status nutrisi pasien berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi pasien. Kata Kunci: Adaptasi Roy, Gangguan Nutrisi, Sistem Gastrointestinal, Demam Tifoid

Abstract

Tuberculosis is still the main cause of death due to infectious diseases throughout the world. Adherence to antiretroviral (ARV) treatment for HIV infection is a major challenge because it involves many factors. This systematic review follows the PRISMA guidelines checklist and includes articles from various databases, such as Pubmed, Cochrane and Proquest. Quality assessment of each article is carried out using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP). The search was carried out using the keywords "ARV Therapy, HIV/AIDS Children, Monitoring System, ARV Compliance". Following the inclusion and exclusion criteria 10 relevant articles were identified, excluding duplicates, limited to full papers, open access, and written in English. These findings indicate that electronic-based monitoring shows an increase in medication adherence. Other studies also note that electronic monitoring devices can create a temporary increase in compliance but then decline after some time. These results indicate that electronic-based monitoring can have a significant clinical impact in improving medication compliance. Electronic monitoring is important, especially in children and adolescents who face unique challenges regarding compliance.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Anak usia pra sekolah, khususnya dalam rentang usia 3-5 tahun, berada pada periode penting yang dikenal sebagai masa keemasan (golden age), jendela kesempatan (window of opportunity), dan periode kritis (critical period) dalam perkembangan anak. Selama masa ini, anak mengalami perubahan signifikan dalam aspek fisik, kognitif, sosial, dan emosional. Berdasarkan hasil survei di PAUD Kepodang, Jakarta Timur, ditemukan bahwa orang tua kurang memahami perkembangan anak usia pra sekolah, yang mengakibatkan masalah emosional seperti tantrum pada anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan orang tua dalam optimalisasi perkembangan anak usia pra sekolah di PAUD Kepodang melalui metode luring yang komprehensif dan terstruktur. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang mengukur karakteristik responden dan tingkat pengetahuan orang tua sebelum dan sesudah edukasi. Kegiatan edukasi mencakup penyuluhan kesehatan, teknik stimulasi perkembangan, dan pentingnya deteksi dini gangguan perkembangan. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur perubahan pengetahuan orang tua. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua setelah edukasi, dengan persentase ibu yang memiliki pengetahuan baik meningkat dari 50% menjadi 75%. Data demografi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas ibu berada dalam kategori dewasa (75%) dengan latar belakang pendidikan tinggi (20.8% S1), dan sebagian besar tidak bekerja (75%), sehingga memiliki waktu lebih banyak untuk berinteraksi dengan anak. Pemberdayaan orang tua melalui edukasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang perkembangan anak usia pra sekolah. Dukungan holistik dan penuh kasih sayang dari orang tua sangat penting untuk memastikan anak-anak tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal, siap menghadapi tantangan di masa depan. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Pra Sekolah, Pemberdayaan Orang Tua, Perkembangan Anak, Edukasi Orang Tua, PAUD, Perkembangan Emosional Anak ABSTRACT Preschool children, especially in the age range of 3-5 years, are in an important period known as the golden age, window of opportunity, and critical period in child development. During this period, children experience significant changes in physical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. Based on the results of a survey at PAUD Kepodang, East Jakarta, it was found that parents do not understand the development of preschool children, which results in emotional problems such as tantrums in children. This community service activity aims to empower parents in optimizing the development of preschool children at PAUD Kepodang through a comprehensive and structured offline method. The data collection method used a questionnaire that measured the characteristics of respondents and the level of parental knowledge before and after education. Educational activities included health counseling, developmental stimulation techniques, and the importance of early detection of developmental disorders. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure changes in parental knowledge. The results showed an increase in parental knowledge after education, with the percentage of mothers who had good knowledge increasing from 50% to 75%. Demographic data shows that the majority of mothers are in the adult category (75%) with a higher education background (20.8% S1), and most are unemployed (75%), so they have more time to interact with their children. Empowering parents through education has proven effective in increasing understanding of the development of preschool children. Holistic and loving support from parents is essential to ensure that children grow and develop optimally, ready to face future challenges. Keywords: Preschool Children, Parent Empowerment, Child Development, Parent Education, PAUD, Child Emotional Development
