Ma'na Cum Maghza as Sahiron Syamsuddin's Approach to the Science of the Qur'an and Tafsir Sa'dina, Ahmad Midrar; Muhammad, Farhan

Abstract

The relevance of how the Al-Qur’an is interpreted in the modern day is explicitly covered in this essay. This approach’s primary goal is to investigate the meaning and historical relevance of the verses under interpretation and then transform that historical significance into dynamic significance. The following procedures are used to determine historical meaning and significance: (a) textual analysis, (b) intratextuality, (c) intertextuality, (d) examination of the historical setting in which the verse was revealed, and (e) reconstruction of the verse’s major meaning. To determine the verse’s dynamic significance, the following procedures are followed: (a) classifying the verse, (b) contextualizing and re-actualizing the verse’s significance, (c) identifying the verse’s symbolic meaning, and (d) fortifying the verse’s construction with knowledge to assist others. It is impossible to divorce the research methodology employed in this study from the realization of the ma’na-cum-maghza approach’s urgency. Because content analysis is used in this study, Sahiron’s work in applying the ma’na-cum-maghza methodology to QS Al-Maidah (5): 51 may be thoroughly examined. Similarly, the qualitative method used in this study can interpret ma’na-cum-maghza in the context of today, particularly in light of modern interpretations, which are supported by information the author gathered from books, documents, journals, and notes. Some observations about Ma’na-cum-Maghza. The author explains the connecting bridge as an explanation of ma’na-cum-maghza by utilizing source triangulation to find the validity of the data and sample Q 5:51, which Sahiron interpreted. This produces research that is compatible with the disclosure of the urgency of ma’na-cum-maghza.

Abstract

Problematika penafsiran pasca wafatnya Nabi Muhammad Saw menjadi landasan pembahasan tulisan ini. Proses penafsiran yang terbiasa diinterpretasikan oleh Nabi Muhammad Saw juga mengalami perubahan. Sumber penafsiran yang semula Al-Qur’an dengan Al-Qur’an, Al-Qur’an dengan sunah, berkembang hingga mengambil pendapat para sahabat. Pendapat yang dilandasi pemahaman yang lebih tentang bahasa Arab juga situasi saat Al-Qur’an itu diturunkan pun masih menjadi problem. Hal ini dikarenakan ada sumber lain yang menjadi acuan para sahabat, yakni hasil dari dialog para sahabat dengan ahlul kitab yang mengahasilkan kisah israiliyyat dalam tafsir. Tulisan ini akan menjelaskan bagaimana perkembangan tafsir periode sahabat, mengidentifikasi ciri-cirinya dan problematika pemahaman tafsir periode sahabat. Sehingga bisa memunculkan pemahaman terhadap aspek-aspek tersebut. Metode penelitian tulisan ini adalah kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data secara library research. Langkah analisis juga dibahas dalam tiga tahapan. Pertama, menentukan tema pembahasan dengan mengambil sumber dari kitab Al-Itqan fi ‘Ulum Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir wa al-Mufassirun. Kedua, membahas aspek-aspek sentral dari pembahasan baik itu perkembangan, ciri-ciri dan problematika pemahaman tafsir periode sahabat. Ketiga, membuat kesimpulan dari pembahasan yang telah dilakukan. Hasil dari penelitian ini memuat tiga poin: pertama, pemahaman dan ijtihad sahabat bisa dijadikan sumber, jika terpenuhi syarat-syarat dan adab-adab seorang mufassir. Kedua, tafsir periode sahabat belum sistematis, masih terpisah-pisah dan belum ada pembukuan. Terbukti dari tafsir Ibnu Abbas yang diriwayatkan Ali bin Abu Thalhah yang baru dibukukan pada abad 2. Ketiga, para mufassir sahabat yang menukil kisah-kisah israiliyyat hanya sedikit sekali. Sahabat justru mendahulukan pemahaman dan ijtihadnya sendiri. Hal ini membuktikan kredibilitas sahabat yang baik juga menjauhi perkara yang belum jelas benar atau tidaknya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to do a description-analysis of the elements of the word insha talabi in Surah Yusuf. This research uses qualitative methods through library research. This research was conducted by examining the distribution of selected verses in Surah Yusuf, which had not been studied before. In addition, it explores how the dynamics of interpretation in these selected verses and their relation to the content of the elements of the word insha talabi. The results and discussion of this study found that there are 28 verses about amr, 5 verses about nahi, 12 about istifham, 2 verses about tamanni, and 18 verses about nida. The study of these verses, among other things, is expected to reach the esoteric elements in each verse wisely and in accordance with objective scientific provisions so that the beauty of the style of Al-Qur'an as a whole in Surah Yusuf which is one of the best stories in the Al-Quran can be understood properly. Therefore, it is important to conduct this study and continue to explore its interpretation so that the compassion and wisdom of Yusuf's story can become a strong value in this life in various aspects.
