Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is a key indicator of a country's health and well-being. It's frequently regarded as a marker of social advancement and human growth. As a result, eliminating IMR is a major goal in the RPJMN 2020-2024, both nationally and regionally. East Java's IMR reached 13,49 deaths per 1000 live births, exceeding the 2024 objective. The purpose of the research is to investigate how socioeconomic and health-related factors would affect AKB in East Java in 2022. Descriptive and inferential analysis using multiple linear regression were employed. The results showed that the percentage of females aged 10 and up who married before the age of 17 and the open unemployment rate had a favourable effect on IMR. Meanwhile, birth at a health care facility and life expectancy have a detrimental impact on IMR.

Abstract

Early childhood is an individual who is undergoing a rapid and fundamental development process, so learning to read the Qur'an from an early age is important to form a generation of Quranic intelligent and noble morals. The iqro' method as a systematic and gradual approach to learning to read the Qur'an is expected to make it easier for children to recognize the hijaiyah letters and read the Qur'an correctly. This study aims to analyze the effect of the iqro' method on the ability to read the Qur'an in early childhood at PAUD Baitul Qur'an Ranca Bungur and evaluate the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 52 PAUD Baitul Qur'an students, then analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and simple linear regression to determine the effect of the Iqro' method on the ability to read the Qur'an. The results of the study indicate that the iqro' method has a positive and significant effect on the ability to read the Qur'an in early childhood. The average score of the iqro' method is 66.15 with a standard deviation of 14.301, while the average score of the ability to read the Qur'an is 51.73 with a standard deviation of 10.976. The use of this method can increase the fluency and accuracy of reading the Qur'an gradually and independently. Based on these results, it is recommended that PAUD Baitul Qur'an continue to optimize the use of the Iqro' method in learning to read the Qur'an, improve teacher training to support the application of the method, and create a conducive learning environment so that children are more motivated in learning the Qur'an.

Abstract

Background & Objective: Patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) commonly experience shortness of breath due to impaired myocardial contractility, which leads to reduced cardiac output and subsequently decreases systemic blood circulation. This condition can result in several complications such as dyspnea, orthopnea, exertional dyspnea, paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (PND), edema, ascites, cardiogenic shock, and decreased oxygen saturation. Patients who exhibit clinical signs and symptoms of heart failure often present with actual or potential nursing problems, which can affect basic human needs, such as decreased cardiac output. One of the appropriate nursing interventions for this issue is monitoring the patient’s daily fluid intake and output. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the nursing intervention of fluid intake and output monitoring in hospitalized CHF patients. Method: This study employs a descriptive approach using a case study design. The respondents in this case were two patients diagnosed with CHF. The nursing intervention involved measuring the patients’ fluid intake and output over a 24-hour period and evaluating the outcomes by calculating fluid balance. Result: The results of the nursing care showed that Patient 1 had a fluid balance of -300 ml and Patient 2 had a fluid balance of -580 ml. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the intervention of fluid intake and output monitoring can be applied to CHF patients to improve their quality of life.

Abstract

Minat belajar peserta didik merupakan faktor penting dalam keberhasilan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), namun dalam praktiknya pembelajaran masih didominasi metode ekspositori yang cenderung membatasi partisipasi aktif peserta didik. Selain itu, penelitian yang mengintegrasikan pembelajaran kooperatif dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam konteks PAI pada pendidikan kejuruan masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran berdiferensiasi melalui model Inside Outside Circle (IOC) terhadap minat belajar PAI peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-experimental post-test only control group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 60 peserta didik kelas XI SMK Negeri 1 Kotabumi yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data minat belajar dikumpulkan melalui angket yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan independent sample t-test, serta dilengkapi dengan analisis effect size menggunakan Cohen’s d untuk mengetahui kekuatan pengaruh perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok (p < 0,05), dengan rata-rata minat belajar kelompok eksperimen sebesar 70,20 dan kelompok kontrol sebesar 51,43. Perhitungan effect size menghasilkan nilai Cohen’s d sebesar 3,96 yang menunjukkan kategori pengaruh sangat besar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dengan model IOC secara signifikan dan kuat meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, strategi ini dapat menjadi alternatif pedagogis yang efektif untuk menciptakan pembelajaran PAI yang lebih interaktif, adaptif, dan berpusat pada peserta didik, khususnya pada konteks pendidikan kejuruan.
