Abstract

Seed plants or spermatophytes are divided into two, namely angiosperms (open seed plants) and gymnosperms (closed seed plants). These seeds are a means of generative development of spermatophytes. This research aims to observe the internal structure of the reproductive organs of seed plants and observe the phases of embryo development in seed plants.  The method used is observing the structure of internal plant organs and is supported by literature studies related to the research carried out. The objects of this research are lilies (Hippeastrum sp.), pine (Pinus merkusii), and preserved corn (Zea mays).

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants whose leaves, stems and roots can be used as medicine. Some of these medicinal plants are used in traditional or alternative medicine in local communities. Apart from that, medicinal plants also have the advantage that they do not cause side effects and can be treated by family members themselves. The successful use of medicinal plants is greatly influenced by public knowledge about the benefits of each type of medicinal plant, especially medicinal plants that have been studied empirically. Research with the title Inventory of Medicinal Plants in the Babakan Siliawangi City Forest Area on June 12 2024, with this research method aims to determine the diversity of types of medicinal plants and to determine the potential of these medicinal plants for the surrounding community. The results of this research were 10 types of medicinal plants, including: Binahong, Yellow Bamboo, Jengkol, Matoa, Forest Tea, Forest Betel, Japanese Papaya, Sausage Tree, Butterfly Tree, Simpur Tree. The most widely used medicinal plant organ is the root, bark, flowers and leaves.

Abstract

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification)-based biohacking has evolved as a body modification practice that integrates technology directly into human biology. While the practice has historical roots dating back to World War II when RFID was used to identify aircraft, its development toward human implantation began in the late 20th century and has become more widespread with society's increasing reliance on digital technology. Analysis of the principle of beneficence reveals that although RFID implantation can increase user convenience, comfort and security, these benefits are not yet fully supported by adequate scientific evidence regarding long-term safety. Meanwhile, the principle of non-maleficence highlights the risks of infection, tissue damage, interference with radiological examinations, and publications regarding other medical complications resulting from implantation, which is generally performed by non-medical personnel. Through historical, technical, and ethical reviews, this research emphasizes the need for a clearer regulatory framework, increased bioethical literacy, and the involvement of healthcare professionals in implantation to ensure that technological developments do not compromise human safety and well-being
