Abstract

Invasive alien plant species are plant species that occupy and dominate an area so that they become one of the threats to damage ecosystems, habitats, flora and fauna. The purpose of the study was to determine the types of invasive alien plants found in the Ir. H. Djuanda Forest Park and to find out the potential use of invasive alien plant species for the community. The research design used exploratory method combined with line transect. The results showed that there were 50 species belonging to 27 families, especially in the Compositae (13 species), Poaceae (5 species), and Acanthaceae (4 species). Based on the species composition in each block, the species found in the Utilization Block (29 species) were more diverse than the Protection Block (27 species) and Collection Block (10 species). Based on the literature review, the invasive alien plant species found in the Ir. H. Djuanda Forest Park has the potential to be developed as a animal feed, medicinal plant, processed food, and ornamental plant.  Keywords: Species composition, Potential, Invasive alien plants species

Abstract

One of the potential plants that can be utilized as traditional medicine is spoon leaves. broadleaf plantain (Plantago major L.) are included in the category of wild plants or wild medicinal plants. This study aims to examine the use of broadleaf plantain or ki urat leaves as a treatment for gout arthritis in the Tirtasari community, Margasari village, Buahbatu sub-district. The method used in this study is an observation technique, namely interviews with a sampling of 15 selected through pursive sampling techniques and documentation and literature study approaches. The broadleaf plantain in the Tirtasari community this plant is called ki urat leaf can be found in a variety of habitats, including in fields, roadsides, gardens, and other open areas. The results of this research found that the Tirtasari community has two ways of using this broadleaf plantain for alternative treatment of gout arthritis, namely 9 samples using direct rubbing and 6 samples using the results of mashed spoon leaves that are rubbed on the body that feels sore. These two ways of use have the same treatment effect but differ in texture and absorbency. This broadleaf plantain has many compounds that are beneficial to the health of the body, namely anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and antioxidant compounds.

Abstract

Ethnobotany has a domain of study on the relationship between humans and plants, including the role of humans in understanding their interactions with the environment around their place of residence. Sukamanah Village is located in a beautiful area and is still very close to nature. Jombang plants are very easy to find because they are classified as wild plants. This study aims to determine the utilization of Jombang plants as traditional medicine in Sukamanah Village, Pangalengan District. Knowledge about the use of Jombang plants is obtained from generation to generation. The method used was interviews with descriptive and quantitative data analysis. The purpose of the study was to determine the utilization of Jombang plants. Jombang leaves are utilized by boiling and then the boiled water is consumed as a medicinal plant 81.25% for the stomach and 18.75% for the flu. 62.5% of them boiled the Jombang leaves directly, 25% dried the leaves first before boiling, and the last 12.5% boiled the leaves and roots. The use value (UV) of this plant is very low because the utilization known by the interviewees is small.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the readiness of cooperatives at the Al-Mu'awanah Islamic Boarding School in applying for halal certification for each of their goods. The results of the knowledge of cooperative management about UUJPH are 81% in the good category, SJH knowledge is 90% in the good category, and HACCP knowledge is 85% in the good category, measuring the level of adaptation of cooperatives to halal-certified cooperatives at the Al-Mu'awannah Islamic Boarding School, with 85% in the good category and ready for halal certification. With this readiness, Al-Mu'awannah Islamic Boarding School is believed to be able to provide the best halal product services to customers and the surrounding community.

Abstract

The high interest in packaged food products in Indonesia, as a country with a predominantly Muslim population, requires halal packaged food products in accordance with Islamic law to use its products. Therefore, even though every product has a halal logo for consumer safety, the presence of a halal label on packaged food can influence consumer buying interest in purchasing packaged food products. The purpose of this research is to find out how Muslim consumers buy interest in packaged food products that do not have halal certification. The method used is descriptive analysis method and the results obtained are analyzed qualitatively. Data acquisition resulted from questionnaires distributed randomly to people who are Muslim. The results of the study show that the public's understanding of halal label certification is quite good. Halal label certification is a very important element in a packaged food product. Every food product must include a halal label. The issuance of halal label certification is sufficient to influence people's decisions in buying packaged food products, with the existence of halal label certification it gives a sense of security and confidence to the public in buying packaged food.

Abstract

The Sasamben Budak Bujang (Benjang) culture is a traditional arts tradition that combines art and martial arts, which developed in the people of the Ujungberung area of ​​Bandung City. This culture involves the use of plants in the implementation process. Information regarding the plants used in these traditional processes has not been widely reported. The aim of this research is to find out the types of plants used in the benjang tradition. Benjang art in the customs or culture of the Ujungberung people, East Bandung City, West Java Province, has a special position when compared with other arts. Benjang Gulat is the initial form of benjang art, over time the benjang art developed into three types, namely benjang helaran, benjang wrestling or gelut and benjang mask. Benjang Ujungberung has been known to many among the Ujungberung community since the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century, as a game played on an amben or bale which is called sasamben by some bujang, which means boys. In the special benjang event, various kinds of plants are used, such as bananas, coconut dawegan, seven kinds of flowers, brown sugar, granulated sugar, bitter coffee and cigarettes.

Abstract

Cipacing Village, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency is an area that has extensive plantation land and rice fields. This village is still beautiful with lush green trees and vast fields which are its own attraction. Many people in Cipacing Village still use plant species to treat diseases. The aim of this research is to identify the use and utilization of medicinal plants in Cipacing Village. This type of research is descriptive with qualitative research methods. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained from the results of semi-structured interviews. There were 30 respondents in this study who were described by characteristics such as gender, age and level of education. Based on research conducted, the plants used as medicine by the community are 23 families, 28 genera and 29 species with the dominant family being Zingiberaceae (26%) and the co-dominant family being Piperaceae (8.7%). The highest habitus was found in herbaceous plants (40%) while the part of the plant that was widely used was the leaves (57%). The most dominant plant processing used is by boiling the leaves and then filtering the boiled water for drinking.

Abstract

Ethnobotany has a very important role in society, including as a symbol of identity for a community group, including in the traditional area of ​​Cikondang Traditional Village, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The traditional area is a small part of the traditional village covering an area of ​​3 hectares which consists of 7 sub-regions including prohibited forest, traditional rice fields, traditional gardens, traditional houses, traditional graves, saung lisung and bale paseban. The aim of this research is to examine the use of plants in traditional areas by the people of Cikondang Traditional Village in daily life, architecture and traditional ceremonies. This research is a qualitative research approach using survey methods and semi-structured interviews. 34 types of plants from 24 families were obtained, the highest use was as traditional ritual materials and the most widely used part of the plant was fruit. The people of Cikondang Traditional Village have a strong attachment to plants as evidenced by the use of plants in various aspects of their lives.

Abstract

Galangal (Kaempferia galanga L) is a plant in the Zingiberaceae family. Galangal is known as a famous traditional medicine in ancient times, kencur is generally used as a medicine for sore throats. Galangal can also be used as a medicine for bloating which can be used by pounding it first or can be consumed directly by chewing. Galangal can be processed first into traditional herbal medicine (kencur rice), processing kencur into traditional herbal medicine itself requires several other additional ingredients, as for the processing method, the galangal rhizome and ginger are washed first, then ground until soft and smooth. Then roast the rice flour and cinnamon, and wash the cardamom and then mash it until smooth, then squeeze it and then extract the juice. Majakerta is a sub-district located in Majalaya sub-district, apart from Majakerta in Majalaya there are also several other sub-districts, namely Biru, Bojong, Majasetra, Neglasari, Padamulya, Padaulu, Sukamaju, Sukamukti, Wangisagara, Cipaku, Rajadesa, and Drawati.

Abstract

Ethnobotany is the field of science that explains how humans interact with the plants around them. The most common use of plants is as food and medicine. Surawung or basil leaves are one of the plants commonly used as food. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of surawung other than as food. Samples were taken using snowball sampling method in Cinunuk Village. From 30 respondents, about 17% of them used surawung for their health reasons. It is known that surawung leaves have antibacterial bioactive content. Even so, most respondents did not know in detail about the benefits of surawung leaves.
