Abstract

The main issues in this study are the lack of understanding among residents of Perumahan Ikopin regarding the concept of maisir (gambling/speculative elements) in daily transactions, as well as the prevalence of non-transparent transactional practices that may contain maisir. The absence of education and socialization about the dangers of maisir, coupled with traditional cultural influences, exacerbate the problem. Proposed solutions include seminars, workshops, and discussion groups to raise public awareness. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) with three stages: problem survey, socialization, and evaluation. Results show high participant enthusiasm during discussions, improved understanding of maisir, and no residents involved in online gambling. This activity proves the effectiveness of participatory approaches in transforming transactional behavior

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of price and service quality on purchasing decisions at Superindo in Sumedang Regency, Indonesia. The rapid growth of modern retail and shifting consumer lifestyles have intensified competition, making price and service quality critical factors in attracting customers. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through questionnaires from 385 respondents and analyzed using SPSS 25.0 with linear regression, correlation, and hypothesis testing. Results indicate that price has a dominant positive effect, contributing 58% to purchasing decisions, while service quality contributes 27%. Simultaneously, both variables explain 60% of purchasing decision variance (R² = 0.608), with the remaining 40% influenced by unexamined factors like promotions or product availability. The findings align with previous studies but highlight the unique dynamics of mid-to-high-class retail in urban-rural areas. For Superindo, maintaining competitive pricing and improving service efficiency (e.g., staff responsiveness, checkout speed) are essential strategies. This research underscores the importance of balancing economic and experiential factors in retail, offering practical insights for market segmentation in similar regions.

Abstract

The digital era has positioned Financial Technology (Fintech) as a transformative force in Indonesia's financial ecosystem, offering innovative solutions to overcome traditional banking barriers. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) in promoting digital financial inclusion through its Islamic Fintech initiatives, with a focus on the BYOND application. Using a quantitative descriptive method with an explanatory approach, this research collected data through questionnaires distributed to 185 BSI customers selected through purposive sampling from a population of 3.5 million BYOND users. The regression analysis results indicate a positive and significant relationship between Islamic fintech and financial inclusion, with a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.441 (moderate category). The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.195, indicating that Islamic fintech contributes 20% to financial inclusion, while the remaining 80% is influenced by other variables. The t-test result (tcount = 2.909 > ttable = 1.65313) confirms the significant effect of Islamic fintech on financial inclusion. This study reinforces the importance of Islamic fintech in enhancing financial inclusion and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

The capital market serves as a key economic indicator, reflecting the performance of various industrial sectors, including the banking and pharmaceutical sectors. The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 had distinct impacts on these two sectors, which were reflected in the movement of their stock prices. This study aims to analyze the differences in the average stock prices of the banking and pharmaceutical sectors listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020 using the 99% confidence interval method. The data used in this study consists of stock prices obtained from the official IDX website, with a sample of 10 banking companies and 10 pharmaceutical companies selected through the purposive sampling method. The analysis results indicate a difference in average stock prices of 932.5 ± 11,388 with a 99% confidence level. The calculation using the t-student table with t = 2.88 confirms that there is a difference in the average stock prices of the banking and pharmaceutical sectors in 2020. Although, on average, the banking sector has higher stock prices, the confidence interval shows a relatively wide range, suggesting the possibility of no statistically significant difference. These findings provide valuable insights for investors in making informed investment decisions and for capital market regulators in maintaining market stability.

Abstract

Abstract

The background of this activity is the low level of understanding among the community, especially housewives in Cibungur Village, regarding the principles of sharia-based financial management. This condition leads to many families lacking clear budget planning, facing difficulties in managing income and expenses (including not recording them), and having limited knowledge of sharia investment products, which results in potential financial instability. The purpose of this outreach is to provide comprehensive understanding of the concept of sharia household financial management, ranging from budget planning and expenditure prioritization to sharia-compliant investment, with the hope of creating financial independence and achieving a sakinah family. The community service partner is the community of Cibungur Village, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency. The method used is transformative Participatory Action Research (PAR), with the counseling being evaluated using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The initial findings show that the financial literacy of the residents is still minimal, evidenced by the habit of storing assets in the form of cash or gold jewelry due to limited access to modern sharia instruments. However, the counseling activity, conducted on August 02, 2025, received a very positive response, proven by the high enthusiasm and active communication of the participants during the discussion and Q&A sessions. This interaction indicates that participants actively constructed their new knowledge, suggesting that the community service activity successfully increased awareness and understanding of sharia household financial management.
