Inappropriate antibiotic use in the community remains one of the contributing factors to antimicrobial resistance. Antimicrobial resistance is a global health threat because it can lead to treatment failure, increase morbidity and mortality, and impose a greater economic burden. One strategy to improve appropriate medicine use is to increase community understanding of DAGUSIBU (Get, Use, Store, and Dispose of Medicines), particularly antibiotics. This study aimed to determine the relationship between DAGUSIBU knowledge and the appropriate use of antibiotics among the community in North Denpasar District. This study employed a quantitative observational method with a cross-sectional design. Respondents were recruited using purposive sampling. The research instrument had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test with the assistance of SPSS version 26.0. A total of 400 respondents participated in the study, with a response rate of 97.56%. The results showed that the community's level of DAGUSIBU knowledge was relatively high, reaching 64%, while appropriate antibiotic use was reported in 52.3% of respondents. The Spearman Rank correlation test showed a correlation coefficient of 0.582 with a p-value of 0.001, indicating a statistically significant relationship with a moderately strong correlation. Improving community knowledge of DAGUSIBU through education provided by pharmaceutical personnel is essential to promote appropriate antibiotic use and support efforts to prevent antimicrobial resistance.
