Abstract

The existence of sophisticated equipment is always needed in the laboratory. Purpose is to support the laboratory and support the laboratory staff to work safely and comfortably. One tools commonly used in laboratory is waterbath. In this study, a microcontroller-based waterbath was designed which was equipped with time module for setting the heating time and buzzer as marker when the heating time was complete. In addition, this tool is also equipped with temperature settings from 400C - 950C. This research is an exploratory descriptive research The results of testing the waterbath tool show that the 5 minute time setting has an error percentage value of 3.5%, 10 minutes is 2.3%, 15 minutes is 0.05%, 20 minutes is 1.01%, 25 minutes is 0.001% and 30 minutes is 0.2%. Then the temperature test of 400C has a percentage error of 0.7%, 500C is 0.9%, 600C is 0.8%, 700C is 0.8%, 800C is 1.8%, 900C is 2.7% and 950C is 2.0%. In addition, this tool also meets the standard according to function with a size of 20x20x30cm which is ideal for operation.

Abstract

Buildings development is very glowing recently.  This also has effect on manpower who works at this sector.  Manpower is demanded to have skill according to his field.  Worker at finishing field or especially for ceiling painter needs skill and technique that he should master.  While working the worker always assists by tools and paint materials.  Tools that are used by the ceiling painter have not been refered to antropometry aspect, so it can cause inconvenient in performing the job.  Working with toold that are not accorded to ergonomic principle and working posture that is not physiological can cause fatigue, muscle disturbance, musculoskeletal and increasing working load.  That is why it needs to modify painting roller holder stick.  In that case the worker can work in comfort, safe, healthy, efficient and productive so it can increase productivity. This research was perfomed at office house at Denpasar City.  Type of this research is experimental research by using treatment by subject design by involving 16 samples.  Interval between before treatment and after treatment is given washing out for two days.  Data measured are the working load measured by the increasing of subjective complaint recorded by Nordic Body Map questionnaire, pulses, fatigue and working productivity.  Data of subjective complaint was analyzed by non-parametric statistic test using the Wilcoxon test with significance rate of ? = 0.05, data of pulses as indicator of working load,  working productivity was priorly data normality tested by Shapiro-Wilk Test with significance rate of ? = 0.05.  Data that normal distributed is continued with parametric statistic test using the t-paired test at significance rate of ? = 0.05. Research result shows that there is significant different (p<0.05) to working load variable, musculoskeletal complaint, fatigue and productivity.  At before treatment the average of pulses of ceiling painter is 118.95 + 2.30 dpm, average of musculoskeletal complaint is 78.50 + 5.84, average of fatigue is 74.22 + 388 and average of productivity is 0,070 + 0,017.  Whereas, at after treatment the average of pulses of ceiling painter is 111.89 + 6.58 dpm, average of musculoskeletal complaint is 61.61 + 1.71, average of fatigue is 64.50 + 2.88 and average of productivity is 0,086 + 0,070. Modification of painting roller holder stick turned out to decrease working load for 10,77%, musculoskeletal complaint for 21,51%, fatigue for 13,09%, and productivity is increasing for 22,85%. From discussion above it can be concluded that the modification of painting roller holder stick can decrease working load, musculoskeletal complaint, fatigue, and increase productivity.  In that case, it can be expected that the ceiling painter workers use this painting roller holder stick in order to minimize any complaint raises due to working process

Abstract

Dalam upaya pemenuhan permintaan pasar terhadap kerajinan bahan baku tanah liat pada usaha genteng perlu pengoptimalan sumber daya untuk memudahkan dalam proses produksi. Tidak hanya bahan baku melainkan sumber daya pekerja perlu ditingkatkan untuk mencapai target produksi. Setiap pekerja mengharapkan lingkungan kerja yang nyaman agar kinerja serta produktivitas kerjanya tetap baik atau tidak mengalami masalah. Pada proses produksi dilakukan dengan proses manual contohnya dalam proses pengangkatan material. Industri pembuatan genteng sebagaian besar prosesnya masih skala manual, dari proses angkat angkut material, pencetakan genteng dengan mesin press, proses penjemuran, pembakaran genteng.hingga pengecatan genteng. Proses ini sangat berisiko terhadap kesehatan dan keselamatan pekerja khususnya terkait fungsi tulang dan otot mereka. Bekerja dengan cara dan sikap yang benar sangat penting untuk menghindari terjadinya cedera dan penyakit akibat kerja dalam bekerja. Sebagai pekerja sektor informal yaitu UMKM perlu adanya edukasi dan sosialisasi terkait bagaimana sikap kerja yang ergonomis. Tujuannya agar pekerja memiliki kesadaran bahwa sangat penting menerapkan sikap kerja ergonomis dan budaya kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di setiap aspek dalam bekerja.

Abstract

Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja adalah bagian dari sistem manajemen perusahaan secara keseluruhan dalam rangka pengendalian risiko yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan kerja guna terciptanya tempat kerja yang aman, efisien dan produktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi SMK3 berdasarkan kriteria awal Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 50 Tahun 2012. Penelitian ini adalah studi kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian adalah cross-sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di PT UAI yaitu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang kosmetik terletak di Kabupaten Tabanan-Bali. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner checklist, observasi, dan wawancara kepada petugas K3. Kuesioner berisikan pertanyaan sesuai dengan PP No. 50 Tahun 2012 dengan kategori jawaban sesuai dan belum sesuai. Hasil penelitian menujukkan penerapan SMK3 dari 64 kriteria hanya terpenuhi sejumlah 44 kriteria (68,75%). Terdapat beberapa elemen yang belum terpenuhi dengan baik yaitu pembangunan dan pemeliharaan komitmen serta pelaporan dan perbaikan kekurangan. Namun terdapat juga elemen yang sudah terpenuhi dengan baik yaitu keamanan bekerja dalam SMK3. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan Sistem Manajemen K3 di PT UAI dalam kategori baik (60-84%). Namun persentase ini masih cukup rendah jika dilihat rentang persentase tertinggi dalam kategori baik. Rekomendasi penelitian ini adalah sebagai langkah awal PT UAI perlu untuk segera melakukan sertifikasi SMK3 dan perusahaan diupayakan memiliki perhatian penuh pada penerapan SMK3 untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kerja sehingga produk dan kualitasnya semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Pelaga Village is one of the villages in Badung Regency, Petang District which is a tourist village with one of the tours being the Nungnung Waterfall. Pelaga Village is one of the areas designated by the Badung Regency BPBD as a landslide-prone area. This is also supported by data obtained from the population census of Pelaga Village, Banjar Nunnung. Therefore, landslide disaster mitigation is for the community. The method used is socialization and simulation. The socialization was carried out with the aim of providing understanding and knowledge related to earthquakes and landslides to the community. The results obtained, public knowledge has increased, judging from the results of the pre-test and post-test given. Followed by a simulation followed by several stakeholders including BPBD, PRB Forum, local residents, tour guides, seka truna - truni (youth - young people) Banjar Nungnung, Bendesa Adat (Kepala Adat) Banjar Nungnung, and KKN - PPM University students Bali International . Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Kampus merupakan sarana pendidikan yang digunakan mahasiswa untuk menempuh pendidikan secara formal. Pada proses belajar mengajar di dalam kelas banyak di jumpai permasalahan-permasalahan yang bisa menurunkan tingkat konsentrasi dari mahasiswa itu sendiri. Saat melaksanakan pembelajaran media yang sering di gunakan adalah slide proyektor untuk menampilkan materi perkuliahan. Tampilan yang muncul pada slide biasanya tidak sesuai dengan apa yang di inginkan, ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor: tampilan slide terlalu tinggi, besar tulisan, warna, pencahayaan dan jarak pandang yang tidak sesuai dengan kaidah-kaidah ergonomi yang berlaku. Metode: Penelitian ini dengan rancangan cross sectional study pengamatan yang dilakukan untuk menggali informasi pencahayaan terhadap jarak pandang menggunakan pengukuran dengan luxmeter. Data yang menyangkut variabel bebas dan variabel terikat dikumpulkan pada satu saat saja dan dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Jumlah sampel yang didapat sebanyak 15 orang mahasiswa Universitas Bali Internasional. Hasil: Rerata umur mahasiswa pada saat penelitian dilakukan adalah 21,53 ± 1,12 tahun, dengan rerata berat badan 56,20 ± 2,83 kg, rerata tinggi badan 165,53 ± 2,69 cm. Rerata jarak pandang dari slide yang berada di dinding depan ke kursi yang ditempati oleh mahasiswa adalah 440,00 ± 101,41 di mana posisi baris pertama sebanyak 5 mahasiswa, baris kedua sebanyak 5 mahasiswa dan baris ketiga sebanyak 5 mahasiswa. Hasil rerata pencahayaan yang di dapat di ruangan kelas adalah 2085,13 ± 28,73 di mana hasil pencahayaan diukur di masing-masing tempat duduk mahasiswa. Hasil data konsentrasi mahasiswa adalah 181,73 ± 241,64, dimana konsentrasi dipengaruhi oleh jarak pandang dan pencahayaan pada saat melakukan perkuliahan. Kesimpulan: Hasil dan pembahasan penelitian hubungan pencahayaan dan jarak pandang terhadap tingkat konsentrasi mahasiswa di ruang kelas, ada hubungan antara pencahayaan dengan tingkat konsentrasi mahasiswa, p sebesar 0,000, (p<0,05). In the teaching and learning process in the classroom, there are many problems that can reduce the concentration level of the students themselves. When carrying out learning the media that is often used is a slide projector to display lecture material. The display that appears on the slide is usually not in accordance with what is desired, this is influenced by several factors: the slide display is too high, the size of the writing, the color, lighting and viewing distance are not in accordance with the applicable ergonomic rules. Methods: This research is a cross sectional study design with observations carried out to explore lighting information on visibility using measurements with a luxmeter. Data concerning the independent variable and the dependent variable were collected at one time and at the same time. The number of samples obtained as many as 15 students of the International Bali University. Results: The mean age of the students at the time of the study was 21.53 ± 1.12 years, with a mean weight of 56.20 ± 2.83 kg, and an average height of 165.53 ± 2.69 cm. The average viewing distance from the slide on the front wall to the seats occupied by students is 440.00 ± 101.41 where the position of the first row is 5 students, the second row is 5 students and the third row is 5 students. The average lighting results obtained in the classroom are 2085.13 ± 28.73 where the lighting results are measured in each student's seat. The result of student concentration data is 181.73 ± 241.64, where concentration is influenced by visibility and lighting during lectures. Conclusion: The results and discussion of the research on the relationship between lighting and visibility to the concentration level of students in the classroom. Abstract

Masyarakat perkotaan dan pedesaan sebesar 85,9 % belum memiliki pengetahuan yang tepat mengenai obat-obatan. Hal ini menyebabkan masalah terkait penggunaan obat salah satunya antibiotik, yang akan menyebabkan resistensi antibiotik. Resistensi merupakan ancaman terbesar yang dihadapi dunia, menyebabkan kematian yang lebih besar daripada kanker. Asia Tenggara angka tertinggi dalam kasus tersebut di dunia. Mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan DAGUSIBU dengan pemahaman penggunaan antibiotik pada masyarakat di Kecamatan Denpasar Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif observasional dengan desain cross sectional. pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode (Non-Probability Sampling) dengan teknik purposive sampling, responden sebanyak 400 orang, dengan rentang usia 17-64 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan kuesioner pengetahuan dan pemahaman yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan SPSS dengan metode rank spearman. Tingkat pengetahuan tergolong tinggi 64%, rendah 35,8%. Pemahaman penggunaan antibiotik tergolong paham 52,3% dan tidak paham 47,8% . Hasil uji korelasi Rank Spearman menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,582 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,001 (p<0,05),artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi cukup kuat. Adanya hubungan yang cukup kuat dan positif atau searah antara tingkat pengetahuan DAGUSIBU dengan pemahaman penggunaan antibiotik pada masyarakat di Kecamatan Denpasar Utara

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Mata merupakan salah satu bagian panca indra yang memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Buta warna adalah suatu kelainan yang disebabkan ketidakmampuan sel-sel kerucut mata untuk menangkap suatu spektrum warna tertentu yang disebabkan oleh faktor genetis.. Metode. Metode Ishihara merupakan metode tes buta warna yang didalamnya terdapat titik-titik dengan berbagai warna dan ukuran. Objek penelitian ini adalah rancang bangun alat tes buta warna metode Ishihara berbasis Arduino Uno. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi langsung dengan membandingkan hasil tes buta warna dan intensitas cahaya yang sudah ada. Metode pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan mencari nilai rata-rata, standar deviasi, nilai kesalahan, dan nilai persentase keakurasian. Hasil. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan hasil uji tes buta warna pada rancang bangun alat dan buku pedoman tes Ishihara di dapatkan hasil bahwa dari keseluruhan 20 pasien dapat menjawab kedua metode tes yang terdiri dari 38 plate soal dengan benar. Hal  ini menunjukkan bahwa rancang bangun alat  yang telah dibuat dapat menghasilkan  plate yang sama dengan buku pedoman sehingga hasil tes yang dilakukan kepada responden menghasilkan nilai yang sama antara rancang bangun alat dengan buku tes Ishihara. Hasil pengukuran intensitas cahaya saat pengambilan data pada rancang bangun alat didapatkan nilai rata – rata selisih 1,9 lux dari 10 kali pengulangan tes dan mendapatkan nilai eror 0,4%.

Abstract

Wood processing generally involves the use of large machines for cutting and grinding. This process is customized according to consumer needs. During wood processing, workers are exposed to noise generated by machines, with an average level exceeding 85 dBA. These workers typically work eight hours a day with a one-hour break. The impact of this noise extends beyond hearing loss, as it also disrupts the workers' sleep quality. This study aims to examine the relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among wood processing workers, specifically at UD. Adhi Santa in Tabanan, Bali, which serves as the research site. The study design employed was a cross-sectional study with a sample population of 40 wood processing workers who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Noise levels were measured using a sound level meter in the work machine area, while sleep quality was assessed using the Pittsburgh Sleeping Quality Index (PSQI). The data were analyzed using computer software, utilizing Spearmans to determine the significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among workers in the wood processing factory. The results indicated that, out of the 40 workers, the analysis revealed a significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality (p = 0.002, p < 0.05). In conclusion, it can be stated that there is indeed a significant relationship between noise levels and sleep quality among wood processing workers.

Abstract

Safety ridingis one method to provide knowledge and broaden horizons for teenagers who often ignore good driving behavior.Bali International University is one of the private campuses in Baliwhich has students passing by on motorbikes every day. The initial survey found that students who came to campus behaved unsafely when driving and it was found that students did not understand safety riding and there were students who did not have a driving license (SIM). The aim of this research was to carry out this research. Efforts can be made to prevent accidents while driving. The method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional observational analytical method. The sample is students at UNBI who can drive two-wheeled vehicles and a total of 165 respondents were obtained. The results of this research are between knowledge and safe riding. isthat there is no relationship pvalue 0.455, namely > 0.05, behavior and safety riding have a significant relationship pvalue 0.03, namely <0.05, ownership of a SIM C and safety riding have a significant relationship pvalue 0.003, namely <0.05. Safety Riding It can be an understanding for students to continue driving safely by having a SIM C, knowing the applicable regulations to minimize the risk of accidents and the campus can provide
