Abstract

Vertical accuracy in DEM (Digital Elevation Model) products is very important for an earth study. There are medium resolution DEM data products that can be accessed freely such as DEMNAS, Alos Palsar 12.5m and Sentinel-1. The aim of this study is to measure the vertical accuracy of the DEMNAS, Alos Palsar 12.5m and Sentinel-1 data products by considering the slope angle classification and using two different GIS software. Vertical accuracy is measured using 848 spotheight points, by calculating the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) value of each DEM product with different software. Based on the research, it was found that DEMNAS is a DEM product that has the best comparability value than Alos Palsar and Sentinel-1, because it has the smallest RMSE value. Slope angle class gives different values of bias against absorption and reflection of electro magnetic waves. Flat to moderate steep slope angles tend to be better at absorbing and reflecting electromagnetic waves. The spotheight point needs to be reaccurated with a more detailed geodetic point, to get maximum results.

Abstract

Abstract

Educational tourism (Eduwisata) is an activity where tourists travel in groups to a place with the main aim of gaining direct learning experience about the location they are visiting. The Sumatra Institute of Technology (ITERA) Educational Area has great potential to develop education-based tourism, with interesting locations such as Embung A, which is currently used by students and the community for sports, Botanical Gardens, Astronomical Observatories, and other potential that has not yet been fully exploited. maximum. Even though it has a lot of potential, the use of edutourism in the ITERA area is currently still centered on Embung A as a sports facility. Therefore, this research aims to develop educational tourism zoning within the Sumatra Institute of Technology so that tourists can enjoy educational tourism more easily and to prevent the concentration of activities in only one location. This zoning development also aims to facilitate policy determination in optimizing the potential of edutourism areas. Through analysis of land capabilities and suitability, this research will produce a zoning map of the edutourism area. With this zoning map, it is hoped that visitors can more easily access various educational tourism locations in ITERA, and educational tourism activities can be spread more evenly throughout the area. Apart from that, it is hoped that better management of the edutourism area can make ITERA a superior edutourism destination that not only provides an enjoyable learning experience for visitors, but also supports the development of education and research in the campus environment.

Abstract

Indonesia's location in a region prone to a variety of natural and societal disasters highlights the critical need of comprehending society's susceptibility to such events. Tulang Bawang Regency, located in Lampung Province, is vulnerable to various risks, particularly those associated with flood catastrophes. This research aims to assess the community's susceptibility in Tulang Bawang Regency to several types of catastrophes, focusing on social, economic, physical, and environmental factors. The research approach utilized combines the four primary aspects of vulnerability - social, physical, economic, and environmental - through the MCDA spatial method. The study on vulnerability to flood disasters in Tulang Bawang Regency shows that the most affected vulnerable population is in Dente Teladas District, particularly individuals of vulnerable age, residents in poverty, and people with disabilities. The assessment indicates that the Rawa Jitu District region has the highest levels of economic vulnerability, particularly in relation to poverty. The projected material losses from flooding are 23,125.11 million rupiah for physical damage and 50,356.32 million rupiah for economic losses. In addition, there is a possibility of substantial environmental harm in Tulang Bawang Regency, estimated at 35,508.18 hectares.
