Abstract

The principal plays a crucial role in managing and directing various school activities, directly contributing to the success of the school alongside other components, such as teachers and students. This study aims to examine the role of the principal at SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh in implementing the School Empowerment Program. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with 9 informants as subjects, consisting of the principal, teachers, and students. The research object is the School Empowerment Program at SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. Data collection was conducted through interviews and documentation, while data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the principal of SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh has successfully implemented various interventions in the School Empowerment Program, such as consultative-asymmetric mentoring, strengthening human resources, learning with a new paradigm, data-driven planning, and school digitization. The principal plays an essential role in facilitating the learning committee's understanding of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, leading the development of the operational curriculum, mentoring and evaluating teachers, fostering a culture of reflection, and organizing and evaluating learning communities within the school. This study concludes that the success of the School Empowerment Program heavily relies on the principal's ability to lead effectively, manage change, and implement policies and practices that support school performance improvement.

Abstract

Lack of courage and confidence to speak can have a significant negative impact. Communication skills are one of the important elements that must be possessed by every individual today, this is because as the times and the world of education develop, improving students' communication skills has an important role in preparing them to face future challenges. Therefore, to overcome this, one of the steps that can be taken is to improve students' communication skills so that they can have the confidence and courage to speak in front of the class or in public, and improve their ability to provide and disseminate information, ideas, and thoughts. The goal of improving Communication Skills is carried out in the framework of the International Community Service Activity program in collaboration between the Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Lhokseumawe and Ar-raniry State Islamic University (UIN Ar-raniry) Banda Aceh. This activity was carried out in one of the schools and boarding schools in the city of Pattani, Thailand.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the spiritual guide check has recently widely discussed in society, especially through the TikTok platform. This practice claims that the spiritual guide residing within an individual can provide guidance, protection, or assistance to its owner. While the trend attracts public attention, it also sparks controversy regarding religious and spiritual aspects. From the Islamic perspective, practices involving occultism and magic divination with supernatural beings are prohibited, as stated in authentic hadiths. This study aims to analyze the spiritual guide check trend within the context of magical communication and its relation to Islamic teachings on sorcery as outlined in hadiths. This research used qualitative approach with library research for data collection, using Transpersonal Psychology theory by Abraham Maslow. This research finds that studying and believing in magical knowledge is forbidden and considered as an act of shirk, as it involves placing trust in beings other than Allah for protection. This study provides insights that, despite the growing popularity of the live cek khodam trend, it remains contradictory to Islamic teachings, which prohibit occultism. Therefore, education about the dangers of black magic or occultism and the importance of proper faith understanding is essential.
