Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop interactive PowerPoint learning media on class 4 cultural diversity material, making it easier for teachers to deal with students who lack focus in learning. This research method uses development research with the ADDIE development model. The DDIE development design consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. However, this research was only carried out in three stages, namely 1) the analysis stage consisting of analysis of educators, students and learning materials; 2) the design stage, namely the preparation of interactive PowerPoint learning media using the PowerPoint application; 3) development stage, namely producing learning media that has been designed at the design stage; 4) implementation stage, namely the trial stage carried out on students; 5) evaluation stage, namely the stage where revisions are made after receiving suggestions, comments and input from teachers, students and validators. Apart from production media, researchers also prepared research instruments, namely validation sheets. The validation sheet was filled in by 6 expert validators consisting of 2 media expert validators, 2 language expert validators, and 2 material expert validators. The results of this research show that interactive PowerPoint learning media meets the criteria for being very valid, with an average score of 89.1% from validators. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the independent learning curriculum during the transition period from the 2013 curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. This research was conducted by SDIT Nizhammuddin. The research subjects were 3 teachers who pursued the independent curriculum in selected classes. Data collection techniques were by using observation and interviews. Data were analyzed using several questions, research methods include types of research, research subjects and participants, research instruments, data collection and data analysis methods. The results of the study show that SDIT Nizhammuddin has implemented the Independent Learning curriculum. Through the transition period, there are many differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum. These differences follow the subject units, learning hours, learning implementation, learning strategies and the process of assessing graduation competency standards, etc. Curriculum 13 has a clear goal to shape the character of the nation while the objectives of the independent curriculum lessons are presented in learning outcomes (CP). The independent curriculum also has assessment assessments, namely non-cognitive and cognitive, where non-cognitive is indicated for assessment outside of learning while cognitive is an assessment in terms of knowledge.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to know the effects of grammar mastery towards student’s reading comprehension.Grammar has an important role in mastering a language, and comprehending reading is also one of the ways to improve language learning. Therefore, it is necessary to know whether both variables have significantly effect to each other. Research methodology used is descriptive quantitative study. Sample are taken 80 students, and the sample taken with random technique. Data was collected through multiple choice test to the samples. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. The research result shows that grammar mastery has a significant effect or influence towards the improvement of student’s reading comprehension. In other words the students who guided better grammar mastery are better to comprehend reading. Learning a language can hardly be defined from its grammatical. The language is mastered when the students can use it correctly and comunicatively either in oral or written. Thus, in learning English, the students must engage well to its grammatical. The results contribute most to the increasing of student’s reading comprehension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS melalui penggunaan media diorama dalam pembelajaran materi siklus hidup makhluk hidup pada kelas III di SDN 05 Perawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan media diorama. Rata-rata nilai siswa meningkat dari 65,6% pada pra-siklus menjadi 84% pada siklus II, dan ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari 28% menjadi 88%. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif, termotivasi, dan mampu memahami tahapan siklus hidup makhluk hidup, seperti metamorfosis katak dan kupu-kupu, secara lebih konkret. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media diorama efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan media visual tiga dimensi sebagai strategi inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPAS di tingkat sekolah dasar

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of deep learning-based practical work using simple tools on improving students' science process skills. The research method employs a quasi-experimental design with a one-shot case study approach. The sample consisted of 43 PGSD FKIP UIR students, with research instruments as observation sheets and questionnaires. The data obtained were analysed using prerequisite tests, specifically normality and hypothesis tests, including the t-test with a significance level 0.05. The normality test results showed that the data were normally distributed with a Sig value of 0.2 > 0.05. The hypothesis test results yielded a Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The results show a significant improvement in science process skills, including observing, classifying, measuring, and communicating. In conclusion, students' science process skills improve when applying the deep learning-based practical method using simple tools.  These findings indicate practical potential that can be used to support effective science learning for prospective teacher students.
