Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out the effectiveness of using communicative language teaching on speaking ability in SMP Miftahul Ulum Jember. This research used a quantitative method. The research applied pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population of this research was the seventh-year students of SMP Miftahul Ulum Jember in academic 2023-2024. The sample consisted of 20 students of class VII. The data were collected through speaking test (pre-test and post-test). To find out the effectiveness of communicative language teaching (CLT) on speaking ability, the researcher applied t-test analysis. The research was held in three meetings.The findings indicated that there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The result the t-test result sig. 0.000 < 0.005, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be seen the value of t-test tcount 4635 > ttable 2.093 than t-test (0.00) and degree of freedom (df)= 19. Therefore, the researcher concluded that the use of communicative language teaching (CLT) approach was effective on the student’s speaking ability.

Abstract

Program Kampunge Arek Suroboyo Ramah Perempuan dan Anak (KAS-RPA) merupakan inisiatif pemerintah Kota Surabaya yang bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat dengan fokus pada penciptaan lingkungan yang aman dan ramah bagi perempuan dan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program KAS-RPA terhadap budidaya lingkungan di RW 09 Kelurahan Rungkut Kidul. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program KAS-RPA berkontribusi signifikan dalam membangun kesadaran kolektif warga untuk menjaga kebersihan, keamanan, dan keharmonisan lingkungan, serta meningkatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam kegiatan sosial dan lingkungan. Program ini mendorong terbentuknya lingkungan yang lebih sehat, aman, dan produktif melalui lima pilar utama: kampung belajar, kampung asuh, kampung sehat, kampung aman, dan kampung kreatif-produktif. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa program KAS-RPA efektif berkontribusi pada budidaya lingkungan dan kesejahteraan sosial di RW 09 Kelurahan Rungkut Kidul, serta menyarankan perlunya dukungan berkelanjutan dan replikasi di wilayah perkotaan lain.

Abstract

Strengthening relations between educational institutions and the community continues to develop by utilizing online media as a means of communication and education. The use of social media as a means of branding in educational institutions is also increasingly being carried out more intensively by several educational institutions, one of which is MAN Bondowoso. The aim of this research is to determine public relations management (PR) strategies in optimizing the use of social media as a means of madrasah branding at MAN Bondowoso. This research uses field research methods with a qualitative type of research. Data collection is carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. As well as data analysis techniques used through three procedures, including data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data that has been obtained is checked for validity using triangulation techniques. The findings from this research show that MAN Bondowoso has utilized social media as a means of branding in addition to generally being a medium for information, communication, education and preachtion. There are four social media managed and developed at MAN Bondowoso, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Website. The development of social media management at MAN Bondowoso in recent years has increased, due to the existence of a public relations management strategy in the management process, starting from the planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring stages.
