Abstract

Nutmeg seeds drying in Fakfak Regency still apply the traditional method, namely, placing the seeds on tarpaulins or mats under the sun. The problem is that the sun’s temperature depends on the weather. Therefore, the oven-drying method should be applied. Steam-water distillation is steam-water heat from a tube (pan) which is heated using firewood. Oven drying can be controlled in terms of temperature and duration to increase production effectiveness and efficiency. Based on the results of the oven and sunlight heating, the following moisture contents were obtained. Heating for 2 hours resulted in an average of 16.71% STDV1.99; 4-hour heating brought about an average of 16.10% STDV 1.53; 6-hour heating produced an average of 13.87% STDV 0.56; 8-hours heating turned out0 an average of 10.17% STDV 0.05; and an average of 8.57% STDV 0.42 for normal heating. According to SNI 01-0006-1993, from the moisture-contents testing for 3 quality categories, the moisture content of 10.54% was for quality 1 (ABCD), 8.64% for quality 2 (RIMPEL) and 11.92% for quality 3 (BWP). Accordingly, the SNI quality requirements for the maximum moisture content of nutmeg seeds was 10%; quality 1 and quality 2 met SNI requirements. The research revealed that, according to SNI, the 9-day solar heating resulted in a quality of category 2 meanwhile the 9-day oven-heating on the nutmeg seeds produced a quality of category 1

Abstract

Visual Learning Media is a teaching and educational tool that involves the senses of sight and hearing of students during the teaching and learning process. With the aim of reducing the passive attitude of students in the learning process. Overcoming the limitations of space, time, and senses, and helping teachers in delivering material more effectively through the use of appropriate and varied media The problem in this study is, some students do not follow the learning well. Such as talking with friends because they feel bored, do not pay attention to the teacher's explanation, and show a passive attitude during the learning process. Students rarely ask questions or are less brave to answer the teacher’s questions. Which ultimately affects their learning outcomes due to a lack of motivation in learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of visual learning media on student learning motivation in learning Pancasila education in Grade 8 of SMP Negeri 5 Mataram. The method used in this study is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers and students as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that the use of visual media in the learning process has a positive impact on student learning motivation. Varied and engaging visual media can help students more easily understand the subject matter, fostering a higher interest in learning Furthermore, teachers are also more effective in delivering the material, making the learning process more enjoyable. These findings indicate that the application of visual media is an effective learning strategy for increasing student learning motivation at the junior high school level. This study recommends that teachers utilize visual media more frequently as a learning aid to improve the quality and outcomes of student learning ABSTRAKMedia Pembelajaran Visual merupakan alat pengajaran dan pendidikan yang melibatkan indera penglihatan dan pendengaran peserta didik selama proses belajar mengajar berlangsung. Dengan tujuan mengurangi sikap pasif peserta didik dalam proses belajar, mengatasi keterbatasan ruang, waktu, dan mdera serta membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi dengan lebih efektif melalui penggunaan media yang tepat dan bervariasi. Permasalahan pada penelitian ini ialah, beberapa siswa tidak mengikuti pembelajaran dengan baik, seperti berbicara dengan teman karena merasa bosan, tidak memperhatikan penjelasan guru, serta menunjukkan sikap pasif selama proses belajar. Siswa jarang bertanya atau kurang berani menjawab pertanyaan guru, yang pada akhirnya memengaruhi hasil belajar mereka karena kurangnya motivasi dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui tentang pengaruh media pembelajaran visual terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran pendidikan Pancasila Kelas 8 SMP Negeri 5 Mataram. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai subjek penelitian Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media visual dalam proses pembelajaran memberikan dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Media visual yang variatif dan menarik mampu membantu siswa lebih mudah memahami materi pelajaran menumbuhkan minat belajar yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, guru juga lebih efektif dalam menyampaikan materi sehingga proses pembelajaran menjadi menyenangkan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan media visual merupakan salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa di tingkat SMP. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru lebih sering memanfaatkan media visual sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran guna meningkatkan kualitas dan has?l belajar siswa.
