Abstract

The purpose of this article is to emphasize the importance of character education in forming a young generation who is intelligent, moral, and ready to face future challenges. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical with a library study approach, which collects data from various written sources to provide a deeper understanding of character education. The issues raised include deviant behavior among the younger generation caused by a character crisis and lack of character education, as well as teachers’ responsibilities in guiding students to develop positive character. The research findings indicate that character education does not only focus on academic achievement, but also on instilling moral and ethical values that can shape students’ positive behavior. In addition, this article identifies educational solutions that can be implemented to increase the intelligence of the younger generation, including education about the use of social media, religious values and pancasila, as well as the development of policies that support morality. Abstract

Di era digital saat ini, teknologi memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan perkembangan peserta didik. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan dapat meningkatkan akses terhadap informasi, keterlibatan siswa, serta efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis berbagai sumber terpercaya seperti jurnal, buku, dan artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknologi memberikan manfaat yang signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan, seperti kemudahan akses ke sumber belajar, peningkatan interaksi antara guru dan siswa, serta dukungan terhadap metode pembelajaran inovatif. Namun, ada tantangan bagi peserta didik, yang mana dapat membuat peserta didik sulit berkembang seperti kecanduan teknologi dan konteks media digital menjadi hal yang perlu diperhatikan. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan perlu diimbangi dengan literasi digital dan pengawasan yang tepat. Apabila diterapkan dengan bijak, teknologi dapat menjadi alat yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan untuk perkembangan peserta didik.

Abstract

This article discusses the educational value and role of Ki Marogan Mosque in Palembang as a significant heritage of Islamic history and culture in South Sumatra. It was founded by a cleric named Masagus Haji Abdul Hamid bin Masagus Haji Mahmud or nicknamed Kiai Marogan in the late 19th century. This mosque not only functions as a place of worship, but also a center of education, social, cultural, and religious tourism destinations. This research uses a literature study that traces the educational value, historical journey, architectural development, and functions of the Ki Marogan Mosque from time to time. The architecture of this mosque shows the acculturation of local culture with Arabic, Indian and Chinese influences. In addition, Ki Marogan's tomb complex located in the mosque area is the main attraction in the community's spiritual pilgrimage. In the modern context, the mosque continues to adapt by utilizing digitalization for historical preservation and Islamic propagation. The results show that Ki Marogan Mosque not only acts as a religious symbol, but also as a center for preserving local values, history, and Palembang cultural identity.
