Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in MAN 1 Ciamis and SMA Plus Darussalam Ciamis, two institutions integrated with pesantren education under the auspices of the Darussalam Ciamis Islamic Boarding School. The research method used a qualitative approach with structured interview techniques to the principal, curriculum vice-secretary, PAI teachers, and related school parties. Direct observation was conducted with students to get an overview of their perceptions of PAI learning. The results showed that the integration of formal education and pesantren in MAN 1 Ciamis and SMA Plus Darussalam Ciamis created a holistic and value-oriented learning environment. Students respond positively to this approach, although faced with the challenge of adjusting to two different educational patterns. PAI teaching in the classroom is well received by students, while pesantren activities provide an additional dimension in the understanding of Islamic values. The challenges identified involve students' adjustment difficulties, lack of resources, and managerial constraints. Therefore, solutions were proposed through improved curriculum management, adequate resource allocation, and training for teachers. In conclusion, the integration between formal education and Islamic boarding schools in PAI learning has great potential to shape a generation that has a deep understanding of Islam, a strong character, and a balance between academic knowledge and religious practice. With the full support of schools, boarding schools, and the government, efforts can continue to be made to improve the effectiveness of PAI learning in an educational environment integrated with Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Islamic boarding school curriculum in enhancing students' competencies in the Tahfidzul Qur'an program at Pesantren Darul Ulum Gunung Halu, Bandung. Key challenges include unsystematic evaluation, varied teaching methods, and differing levels of student discipline. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research collects data through observations and interviews with administrators and students. Findings show that the tahfidz curriculum is implemented through muroja’ah, tasmi’, and tadarus methods, with evaluations consisting of daily recitations, semester exams, and annual assessments. The program’s success is driven by effective management, strict discipline, and competency-based learning. Systematic curriculum planning and periodic evaluations significantly enhance the quality of tahfidz education. Through structured learning, discipline, and a supportive environment, the pesantren successfully produces students who not only excel in Qur'anic memorization but also internalize and practice Islamic values in daily life.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh akhlak siswa yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor seperti kompetensi kepribadian guru khusunya kompetensi guru pendidikan agama Islam. Dalam rangka meningkatkan kompetensi guru di sekolah, terutama bagi kinerja guru pendidikan agama Islam tidak hanya sekedar menyampaikan pelajaran tatap muka di kelas pada saat pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar, akan tetapi kompetensi kepribadian guru pendidikan agama Islam harus mampu membangun sikap disiplin, akhlak siswa di sekolah, dan tanggung jawab pada pribadi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kompetensi kepribadian guru pendidikan agama Islam dengan kedisiplinan, akhlak siswa di sekolah dan tanggung jawab siswa di Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1, 3, dan 4 Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini berangkat dari kerangka berpikir bahwa kompetensi kepribadian guru khusunya guru pendidikan agama Islam sangat menentukan dalam sikap dan tindak tanduknya siswa untuk senantiasa menjadi teladan baik di lingkungan sekolah saat tatap muka di kelas maupun dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif asosiatif dan metode survey, dengan responden sebanyak 120 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proporsional dan acak sederhanan. Instrumen untuk mengumpulkan data dengan menggunakan google form. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi sederhana. Reliabilitas data menggunakan korelasi sederhana, korelasi parsial dan regresi jamak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1, SMA Negeri 3, dan SMA Negeri 4 Kota Bandung, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi kepribadian guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kedisiplinan, akhlak siswa di sekolah, dan tanggung jawab siswa. Pengaplikasian kompetensi kepribadian guru PAI yang baik dapat meningkatkan sikap disiplin, akhlak siswa di sekolah, dan rasa tanggung jawab siswa di sekolah, dengan hubungan yang bervariasi antara masing-masing sekolah. Meskipun demikian, faktor eksternal seperti lingkungan sosial, budaya sekolah, dan interaksi antar siswa juga berperan penting dalam mempengaruhi perilaku siswa. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan kompetensi guru perlu diimbangi dengan penciptaan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung agar pembentukan karakter siswa dapat tercapai secara optimal.
