Nowadays, the study of tafseer is increasingly in the spotlight of various researchers/academics. Among the objects of tafseer studies that are widely discussed is the maqasidi interpretation approach. One of the researchers/academics who pay special attention to maqasidi interpretation is Aksin Wijaya. According to him, maqasidi interpretation is classified as a relatively new approach is in the study of the Qur’an. This is because this approach is in the “process of becoming”. In other words, maqasidi interpretations does not yet have its own strength/characteristics that distinguish it from other types of tafseer. Therefore, maqasidi has advantages and disadvantages. For Aksin, the advantages shold be appreciated, while the shortcoming need to be criticized. This appreciative-critical step is intended to strengthen the footing of maqasidi interpretation so that it is able to contest with various other variants of tafseer. The purpose of this research is to determine Aksin Wijaya’s paradigm in studying maqasidi interpretation. This research is qualitative and uses library research analysis. The results show that the adventage of maqasidi interpretation is that it is a moderate alternative that is able to mediate between textual-scriptualist and liberal-substansialist interpretations. The shortcomings are seen in the fact that maqasidi interpretation is in the process of “becoming”, so it is not yet established in terms of theology, epistemology and hermeneutics, especially in terms of its probability in revealing God’s intentions objectively.

Dewasa ini,kajian seputar tafsir kian menjadi sorotan dari berbagai peneliti/akademisi. Adapun di antara objek kajian tafsir yang ramai diperbincangkan adalah pendekatan tagsir maqasidi. Salah satu peneliti/akademisi yang memberikan perhatian khusus pada tafsir maqasidi ialah Aksin Wijaya. Menurutnya, tafsir maqasidi tergolong dalam pendekatan yang relatif baru dalam kajian al-Qur'an. Hal ini dikarenakan pendekatan ini tengah dalam "proses menjadi". Dengan kata lain, tafsir maqasidi belum memiliki satu kekuatan/karakteristik tersendiri yang membedakannya dengan jenis tafsir yang lain. Oleh karenanya, tafsir maqasidi memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Bagi Aksin, kelebihannya patut untuk diapresiasi, sedangkan kekurangannya perlu dikritisi. Langkah apresiatif-kritis ini ditujukan untuk memperkuat pijakan tafsir maqasidi supaya ia mampu berkontestasi dengan berbagai varian tafsir lain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui paradigma Aksin Wijaya dalam mengkaji tafsir maqasidi. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan menggunakan analisis kepustakaan (library research). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya kelebihan tafsir maqasidi ialah menjadi alternatif-moderat yang mampu memediasi antara tafsir tekstual-skriptualis dan liberal-substansialis. Adapun kekurangannya terlihat pada fakta bahwasanya tafsir maqasidi sedang dalam proses "menjadi" sehingga ia belum mapan dalam hal teologi, epistemologi dan hermeneutikanya, terutama dalam hal probabilitasnya dalam mengungkap maksud Tuhan secara objektif.

These day, parents’ expectations of their children often draw scrutiny from various quarters. This is because some of these expectations contain realistic demands and others tend to be unrealistic. In the Qur’an, parents’ expectations of their children are not expessed, but are prayed for through prayer. These expectations tend to lead to parents’ good wishes for their children in the afterlife. If we look at the context of life today, the reality is much different. The majority of today’s parents have high expectations of their children and even verbalize them. This will certainly burden the psychological and academic conditions of children. The purpose of this research is to analyze parents’ expectations of their children from perspective of the science of the Qur’an and tafseer, and how the concept is presented in the content of the @quranreview Instagram account. This research is qualitative and use content analysis. The results show that there is significant difference between the expectations of parents as stated in the Qur’an and the current social reality. Parents’ expectations through the Qur’anic approach prioritize prayer nd sincerity. But when viewed through a modern social approach, these expectations often contain unrealistic burdens, so that the child gets inner pressure in meeting these high expectations

One of the social problem issues that is currently being discussed is corruption. The rise of corruption practiced by certain individuals has created new social problems. Because of the complexity of this problem, researchers are interested in making it as anobject of research. In this case, the research will focus on the thematic analysis of corruption in the perspective of tafseer al-Qur'an, especially Tafsir Al-Azhar. The result show that the issue of corruption is discussed quite specifically in the Tafsir Al-Azhar. Meanwhile, the structural-functionalism theory in this research acts as a scalpel which is used as a tool to sharpen the analysis process. This is show Hamka's seriousness in highlighting corruption cases by giving a separate portion of discussion in his tafseer.
