Abstract

Fable folklore exists all over the world that can attract children's attention to learn the character or good and bad qualities of human behavior with animal character parables. Through fable stories, children can imagine and improve literacy, especially at the elementary school level. The form of visualization of fable folklore through image media can be one solution to develop children's creativity and also strengthen children's memory of the meaning and essence of the story. Tara Salvia Elementary School through non-formal education programs, always holds book week activity programs at the end of formal learning in collaboration with parents and other parties. PKM activities in collaboration with elementary school partners to support non-formal education programs as a form of collaboration in training on visualization of fable folklore characters in grade 4 children aged 9-11 years who are in the early days of imagination realism. The training method is carried out in 2 stages, starting with the provision of fable folklore material and questionnaires on children's understanding of the characteristics and characters in the fable story. The next stage uses a qualitative method, by exploring references and image ideas that are implemented as a form of visualization of animal characters from fables. From this activity, it was concluded that all grade 4 students had known the definition and message of fable folklore from previous non-formal activities. All students are also enthusiastic (100%) in gaining experience and education about drawing visualizations of folklore characters and being able to increase creativity that allows to produce drawing works with creative and unique characters in the form of other activities. ABSTRAK Cerita rakyat fabel terdapat di seluruh dunia yang dapat menarik perhatian anak untuk memepelajari karakter atau sifat baik dan buruk perilaku manusia dengan perumpamaan karakter hewan. Melalui cerita fabel, anak dapat berimajinasi dan meningkatkan literasi terutama di tingkatan Sekolah Dasar. Bentuk visualisasi dari cerita rakyat fabel melalui media gambar dapat menjadi salah satu solusi pengembangan krativitas anak dan juga memperkuat daya ingat anak terhadap makna dan inti dari cerita tersebut. Sekolah dasar Tara Salvia melalui program edukasi non formal, selalu mengadakan program kegiatan book week di akhir pembelajaran formal berkolaborasi dengan orang tua dan pihak lainnya. Kegiatan PKM bekerjasama dengan mitra Sekolah Dasar untuk mendukung program edukasi non formal sebagai bentuk kolaborasi dalam pelatihan visualisasi karakter cerita rakyat fabel pada anak kelas 4 usia 9-11 tahun yang berada pada masa awal realisme imajinasi. Metoda pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam 2 tahap, diawali pembekalan materi cerita rakyat fabel dan kuesioner pemahaman anak terhadap ciri dan karakter pada cerita fabel tersebut. Tahap Selanjutnya menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan mengkesplorasi referensi dan ide gambar yang diimplementasikan sebagai bentuk visualisasi karakter hewan dari cerita rakyat fabel. Dari kegiatan ini, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa seluruh siswa kelas 4 telah mengetahui definisi dan pesan dari cerita rakyat fabel dari kegiatan non formal sebelumnya. Seluruh siswa juga antusias (100%) dalam mendapatkan pengalaman dan edukasi mengenai menggambar visualisasi karakter cerita rakyat fabel serta mampu untuk meningkatkan kreativitas yang memungkinkan untuk menghasilkan karya gambar dengan karakter yang kreatif dan unik dalam bentuk kegiatan lainnya.

Abstract

Obstacles and challenges are still felt related to increasing children's talents and creativity during the pandemic. Children at an early age certainly need learning activities that can stimulate talent and creativity. Early childhood is an age that requires an attitude and learning orientation that can stimulate the potential and basic talents of children. To stimulate this potential, the PKM team took the initiative to hold training on painting on canvas. The PKM team previously conducted PKM activities in providing basic knitting training and amigurumi knitting training. The results of the previous PKM activities had a positive impact and produced products that had entrepreneurial value so that the PKM team continued their collaboration with the Rumah Pagi Bahagia Foundation partners in Bintaro by providing hand painting on canvas training as a way to develop children's creativity during a pandemic. The target participants are foster children aged 8-10 years. The aim of this PKM activity is to have foster children who receive education to support talent and creativity. The activity method is carried out offline. The PKM team has prepared presentation material and video tutorials. Beginning with giving an introduction to the tools and types of canvas to be painted and giving examples of motifs or patterns before painting on a canvas bag. The canvas bag provided is a drawstring bag. Children can be creative with imagination and desire for pictures to be hand painted. Mandatory outputs from this activity will be presented and published in a scientific meeting seminar. Additional output copyright video tutorial from the PKM team. This training is expected to be a solution in increasing the talent and creativity of early childhood whose activities are of course limited during the pandemic. Hambatan dan tantangan masih dirasakan berkaitan dengan peningkatan bakat serta kreativitas anak pada masa pandemi. Anak dengan usia dini tentunya memerlukan kegiatan pembelajaran yang mampu menstimulus bakat dan kreativitas. Anak usia dini merupakan usia yang membutuhkan orientasi sikap dan belajar yang dapat merangsang potensi dan bakat dasar anak. Untuk menstimulus potensi tersebut maka, tim PKM berinisiatif untuk mengadakan pelatihan melukis diatas kanvas. Tim PKM sebelumnya telah melakukan kegiatan PKM dalam memberikan pelatihan dasar merajut dan pelatihan merajut amigurumi. Hasil dari kegiatan PKM sebelumnya memberikan dampak positif dan menghasilkan produk yang memiliki nilai kewirausahaan sehingga tim PKM melanjutkan kerjasama dengan mitra Yayasan Rumah Pagi Bahagia di Bintaro dengan memberikan pelatihan melukis diatas kanvas sebagai pengembangan kreativitas anak di masa pandemi. Target peserta dari anak asuh berusia 8-10 tahun. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini memiliki anak asuh yang mendapatkan pendidikan penunjang bakat dan kreativitas. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan secara luring. Tim PKM sudah mempersiapkan materi presentasi dan video tutorial. Diawali dengan memberikan pengenalan alat dan jenis kanvas yang akan dilukis serta memberikan contoh motif atau pola sebelum melukis pada tas kanvas. Tas kanvas yang dipersiapkan yaitu tas serut. Anak-anak dapat berkreasi dengan imajinasi dan keinginan untuk gambar yang akan di hand painting. Luaran wajib dari kegiatan ini akan dipresentasikan dan dipublikasi dalam seminar temu ilmiah. Luaran tambahan hak cipta video tutorial dari tim PKM. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan bakat dan kreativitas anak usia dini yang tentunya terbatas kegiatannya selama pandemi.

Abstract

In the last 3 (three) years the development of technology and digitalization has been very rapid, especially in Indonesia. For children at elementary school level, the development of creativity really needs to be improved and sharpened. Including cultural preservation activities and maintaining knowledge about local wisdom. Children aged between 6 and 12 years always show unique characteristics and are highly curious about things in their surroundings. These abilities need to be sharpened and awareness increased in the socio-cultural field. In this way, the PKM team continues to collaborate and collaborate with the Rumah Pagi Bahagia Foundation partners in Bintaro. Collaborative activities continued through training activities on painting hats. The aim of this activity is to introduce, grow and preserve Indonesian cultural arts for children aged 6-12 years through painting traditional Indonesian houses. The activity method uses training methods through instructors and video modules. The activity started from the preparation stage, the PKM team carried out observations of partners, distribution of painting supplies and equipment. Followed by the implementation stage of the PKM team as instructors supported by video tutorials that have been prepared by the PKM team. In the exploration stage, the image of the shape of an Indonesian traditional house begins with providing references as an introduction, then continues with developing the shape and decorations painted on the caping hat. The result of this PKM activity is a caping hat that has been painted with various decorations from Indonesian traditional houses such as Toraja, Balinese, Papuan traditional houses and so on. It is hoped that the variations in the results of painting on hats will have a positive impact and produce products that have artistic value. It is hoped that this training can continue to be carried out by introducing the culture of the Indonesian archipelago. This PKM activity provides an opportunity for children to increase their creativity while learning about culture.

Abstract

In recent years, knitting has become a popular activity in the community. Knitting can be used as an activity to relieve stress, reduce anxiety and increase concentration focus. Thus, knitting is considered a hobby in spare time. Knitting has developed into several knitting communities and the knitted products can be sold to the public. The PKM team was invited to collaborate with Unit Usaha Kultura Jakarta in knitting training for productive age 20-65 years as debriefing participants. Unit Usaha Kultura which was established in 2022 is a creative business that combines art and design to create unique experiences for the community. Kultura is a unit that emphasizes creativity and innovation. Provides various creative training or workshops. The PKM team and partners have similar ideas. Partners need knitting training to produce innovative knitted products and develop creative entrepreneurship. The purpose of the PKM activity is to develop skills and creativity in the field of handicraft knitting. The method of this activity is carried out with three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. Beginning with the distribution of materials and equipment. The implementation was carried out offline by starting with finger flexing activities, providing material, introducing tools and knitting techniques for making crochet wallet products. The final stage crochet workshop was completed. All participants were 100% enthusiastic about the knitting training. Knitting training at a productive age can produce business opportunities with selling power to the community. In fact, it can provide communities and jobs for people in need, especially in the field of handicraft arts ABSTRAK Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir ini kegiatan merajut sedang digandrungi oleh masyarakat. Merajut dapat dijadikan kegiatan untuk penghilang stress, mengurangi kecemasan dan menambah fokus konsentrasi. Sehingga, merajut dianggap sebagai hobi di waktu luang. Pada perkembangannya merajut berkembang menjadi beberapa komunitas rajut dan hasil rajutannya dapat dijual ke masyarakat. Maka, pada tahun 2024, tim PKM diajak bekerjasama dengan mitra Unit Usaha Kultura Jakarta dalam pelatihan merajut pada usia produktif 20-65 tahun sebagai peserta pembekalan. Mitra PKM “Unit Usaha Kultura” yang berdiri sejak tahun 2022 merupakan usaha kreatif yang menggabungkan seni dan desain untuk menciptakan pengalaman unik bagi masyarakat. Kultura adalah unit yang mengedepankan kreativitas dan inovasi serta menyediakan berbagai pelatihan atau workshop kreatif. Tim PKM dan mitra memiliki persamaan pemikiran. Mitra membutuhkan pelatihan merajut menghasilkan produk rajutan yang inovatif dan mengembangkan wirausaha kreatif. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM adalah untuk pengembangan kemampuan dan kreativitas dalam bidang kriya kerajinan tangan merajut. Metode kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan 3 (tiga) tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Diawali dengan distribusi bahan dan peralatan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan secara luring dengan diawali kegiatan pelenturan jari tangan dengan gerakan dari instruktur PKM, pemberian materi pengenalan alat dan teknik merajut pembuatan produk dompet. Tahap akhir produk dompet selesai dirajut dan seluruh peserta 100% antusias dengan pelatihan merajut. Pelatihan merajut pada usia produktif pada mitra dapat menghasilkan peluang usaha berdaya jual kepada masyarakat. Bahkan, dapat menyediakan komunitas serta lapangan pekerjaan bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan khususnya dalam bidang seni kriya kerajinan tangan.

Abstract

Generation Z, born between 1997–2012, is inseparable from technology in both learning and working environments. As part of the productive age group, they hold significant potential to drive economic growth through local creative industries. One effective method to empower this generation is through soft skill development using macrame crafts. Macrame activities not only enhance creativity but also improve focus, patience, and perseverance. In facing the challenges of the digital era, soft skill empowerment supports career readiness, productivity, and social networking. Collaborative initiatives between institutions play a crucial role in facilitating craft training for Generation Z. One such initiative is the macrame craft training program, aimed at creating products with creative, commercial, and innovative value. This program aligns with SDGs Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping youth with valuable life skills. In partnership with Yayasan Rumah Pagi Bahagia in Bintaro, this program specifically targeted foster children aged 13–16 years. The face-to-face training involved 20 participants and was conducted in two main stages: preparation and implementation. The preparation stage included surveys, interviews, and material distribution, followed by hands-on implementation. Guided by the PKM team, instructors demonstrated macrame knotting techniques and assisted participants in creating wall decoration pieces. This activity not only required attention to detail but also fostered perseverance. The outcome of this empowerment initiative is expected to contribute to the growth of innovative local creative products, even amidst the fast-paced advancement of artificial intelligence technology. ABSTRAK Generasi Z merupakan generasi yang tidak terlepas dari teknologi, baik dalam belajar maupun bekerja. Lahir pada tahun 1997–2012, Generasi Z termasuk usia produktif dan menjadi peluang untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi melalui industri kreatif lokal. Pemberdayaan soft skills melalui seni kriya makrame menjadi sarana untuk mengembangkan kreativitas, meningkatkan fokus, dan melatih kesabaran. Dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia digital, penguatan soft skills dapat menambah peluang karir, produktivitas, serta memperluas jejaring sosial. Berbagai institusi berkolaborasi dalam penyelenggaraan pelatihan seni kriya bagi Generasi Z. Salah satunya adalah pelatihan kriya makrame yang bertujuan menghasilkan produk bernilai kreatif, komersial, dan inovatif. Kegiatan ini mendukung tercapainya tujuan SDGs ke-4 (pendidikan berkualitas) dan SDGs ke-8 (pekerjaan layak dan pertumbuhan ekonomi) dengan membekali generasi muda keterampilan yang bermanfaat di masa depan. Bersama mitra Yayasan Rumah Pagi Bahagia di Bintaro, kegiatan ini menyasar anak asuh berusia 13–16 tahun. Pelatihan dilakukan secara tatap muka kepada 20 peserta dan dibagi menjadi dua tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Tahap persiapan mencakup survei, wawancara, dan distribusi material, dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan berupa demonstrasi langsung teknik menyimpul makrame oleh instruktur dari tim PKM. Pelatihan pembuatan dekorasi dinding makrame menuntut ketelitian dan ketekunan peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan terus mendorong berkembangnya produk kreatif lokal yang inovatif di tengah pesatnya perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan.
